At first, I thought he was going to sniff it and walk away.

Then, I thought he would only lick the water off.

BUT THEN HE BIT INTO IT.

And no, I didn’t let him eat the whole strawberry.

I hade once finished a plate of, amongst other things, meat, when my cat comes up and DEMANDS to partake in the meal. I shrug, suit yourself, and give him the last piece of broccoli. To my suprise, he greedily gulped it in an instant. His face went from greed to horror, looked up to me as if I’ve insulted his very being. For days after that he kept giving me that death stare that only cats can really pull off.

One of ours decided that a strawberry left on the table was a colorful toy to be knocked on the floor and batted around a bit, then abandoned.

I thought it was kitty duty to bat it under something so you can find it months later and wonder about what that mummified thing could have been once.

I did this with a piece of grapefruit with one I had once upon a time, also a black cat! Fully expected him to be repulsed, he decided he was a fan, cue me quickly googling cats and grapefruit 😅

Why wouldn’t you let him have it after he had already licked and bit into it?
