Good PSA! Cat kidney issues are no joke.

Luckily this little guy gets checked out regularly, his kidneys are fine and he has always loved running water. Just a happy thirsty kitty! ❤️

I recently got mine a fountain but it doesn’t look like she is drinking from it. She has always been interested in running or spilt fresh water so i thought fountain could be a good idea but no luck. Any advice on how to make her drink more?

It really depends on the cat. Mine is pretty skittish so I found a quiet one that gently bubbles water is better than one that has a stream.

It might just be a new thing with a new smell, or maybe there’s something about the design or material.

Try to get a quiet bubbler fountain, I prefer ceramic > steel because it’s easier to clean and heavier so it’s harder to tip over, preferably one with exposed water so she can still drink in case of a power outage or something breaks.

It ultimately varies though. Never tried them but I’ve also seen little flavor drops you can put into their water.
