this is such a disgusting cake. the girl side is all fancy and decorative but the boys side is so bland. but the boys side is themed after an actual job and the girls side is just themed after looking pretty. its unfair on both sides because boy children aren’t allowed to have anything fancy, and are only seen as what they can offer to society as opposed to being people in and of themselves, while girl children are seen as only for being pretty and nobody expects them to be useful for anything. also its an ugly fucking cake. if you google “gender reveal cake” you can see tons of prettier and tastier looking cakes. very soothing pastel colors. fuck this stupid ass cake, i hope the people who ate it have their children taken away by child protective services

The fact that some bonehead can make up an 8 word story about a dumb cake and get this kind of reaction from someone is just wild to me

i mean, “dumb cake” isn’t a particularly useful comment about something. why can’t people try to read into things? nothing means nothing, somebody made a weird gender reveal cake where girls are frilly bows and boys are police officers. that says something about whoever wanted the cake.

I don’t understand it either but maybe it’s just people using social media in different ways than me (memes, tech info, news).

I must say it usually annoys me slightly and I feel kind of emotional overload. Because I understand many people have problems but it isn’t responsible or empathetic to just unload and burden us all with em and make us feel worse. Now I feel 20 years of original commenter backed up trauma and let me tell you it ain’t pretty

This is a great example of what people mean when they say that the patriarchy hurts everyone.
