It’s definitely normal for me at least, I have ADD though. Whenever I finish a chapter, it’s a must for me to skim it over again. I just read the first sentence or two of each paragraph and I move on when I have the order of the major events mapped out in my head. Recalling the order of what I’ve read helps me a ton when it comes to processing it.
Same! It takes so long to finish a book. And it doesn’t help that reading a book makes me sleepy for some reason. I feel too restless to take a nap during the day but reading a book makes me fall asleep almost instantly. And when I read I see the words but usually only register a small part of it so I also have to go back and reread it a few times. >.<
Samsies but I also have adhd. Crazy Insomnia but put a book in my hand in the middle of the day and it’s zzzzzz. When I am awake I get half at best and reread/rewind non stop

That’s interesting. Who would’ve thought reading would be the way to fight away insomnia? I wonder how that works haha.
