    Not a stereotype, but an anecdote:
    When I visited Finland, I stood on a sidewalk and wanted to take a picture of a church on the other side of the street.
    A car was driving along the road, and the driver stopped when he saw me so he wouldn’t get in the way of my photo.

    That absolutely boggled my German mind.
