Do you actually need a pickup or does it serve as your emotional support vehicle that sometimes moves your recreational equipment around? I’m being dead serious because a fucking Ram almost ended my life last year when that prick struck me off the back of my bicycle, while I was on a bike road and he had the fucking balls to say I tried to cut in front of him.

He hit me at 30mph and shattered my hip, my foot and broke almost all my ribs on my left side. All because he wants to check a text message instead of pay attention. I almost bled out from the internal bleeding. I lost most of the feeling in my left thigh permanently and I can never ride another bicycle again, something I had done passionately since I was a little kid.

My company uses that same exact truck to haul around thousands of pounds of equipment from job site to job site so you better have a damn good reason for owning one that’s on par to commercial level work. Otherwise your just another small pricked asshole with a pickup you don’t actually need and you’re part of the problem.

Did you have something you want to add or was posting a three letter comment all you were capable of conjuring up.

I’m in a shitty fucking mood so I’m game if you are.

I’ve calmed down and I over reacted a bit. Sorry. I have personal reason that’s I’m frustrated that isnt related to a 3 letter comment you made.

I’m not trying to use that as an excuse. Rather sorry I was being an ass.

I’ve got a sailboat, and motorcycles. If I want to move things around I can do it easily. I’m comfortable and have plenty of room as well. Just because you’re traumatized doesn’t mean I don’t have the right to own something I can afford. I drive a tractor trailer around 6 days a week so it’s not like a pickup truck is anything more than a large car.

You’re not gonna get much love on this forum for owning a pickup. Glad that you at least put it to use though.

My opinion is that you don’t have a right to endanger other people for your own pleasure. It’s not just him. Many, maybe even most non-car users in the US have been hit by or had near misses with these excessively huge vehicles. They are too dangerous to drive in urban areas without a good reason. In my view they should require more rigorous licensing and be taxed heavily unless used for business purposes.

Yeah. So it’s an emotional support vehicle that sometimes moves your toys around.

You have the right to own it as much as I have the right to say you’re part of the fucking problem.

I’m also going to let the trauma thing go since I implied that you had a small dick but this has less to do with that and more so my belief that you need to have a CDL to operate those vehicles. Though I’d say it’s about a 20/80 split for trauma and belief after said trauma.
