minus-squarejarfil@beehaw.orglinkfedilinkarrow-up2·edit-21 year agoXMPP did it to itself, it left stuff like file transfers, audio/video calls, custom emojis, all undefined in the standard and left for the clients to create their own extensions… which they made, incompatible between each other.
Oh man, I totally forgot about Trillian. The days where everything was heading towards XMPP then it all exploded away from it again.
