Tesla’s second-quarter deliveries rose 83% from a year ago after the company cut prices several times on its four electric vehicle models and buyers took advantage of U.S. government tax credits.

    I’d argue that the price cuts and increased production had the most significant effect. Other OEMs are jacking up prices right and left and dealers are adding $5k on top. Tesla is a simple, easy, affordable buy right now. Never thought I’d say that.

      Price cut + tax incentives for me brought the cheapest Model 3 from $40kish to $30kish for me. Never would have thought about it at $40k
