1 year agoMy account was suspended 3 times for “vote manipulation” because my partner, my daughter, and I were all on the same sub for our city and they’d upvote my comments sometimes without noticing it was me. It was never their accounts, always mine, and trying to contact reddit was useless. They had to basically stop upvoting anything in that sub because if they did, I might get suspended again or even banned.
How it can be 2023 and reddit can’t figure out that people live together is beyond me.
There’s a short story by Ray Bradbury about an automated house that survives a nuclear blast. The shadows of the children throwing a ball are on the house outside, and inside the robots continue to service a family that’s no longer there. That’s what it reminds me of.
