That is not entirely true, in fact in Europe there is a trend of replacing delivery vans with cargo ebikes:
Yes, Syncthing needs 2 diferents devices to sync, FreeFileSync syncronize whatever you want within 1 device, for example between 2 Disks or from a network disk to your computer disk.
Syncthing works great if there are 2 devices turned on and connected to a LAN or Internet, and FreeFileSync is totally disconected from the internet and only needs 1 device on (the one that execute it)
I use both, Syncthing to autosync all my devices and FreeFileSync to backup all those files to various disconected hard drives
FreeFileSync a FOSS backup and folder synchronizer, a must have.
FreeFileSync is a folder comparison and synchronization software that creates and manages backup copies of all your important files. Instead of copying every file every time, FreeFileSync determines the differences between a source and a target folder and transfers only the minimum amount of data needed. FreeFileSync is Open Source software, available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Use FreeFileSync to make your backups easily without having to copy everything by yourself, thank me later!

And from Wikipedia:
Greenhouse gas emissions by China are the largest of any country in the world both in production and consumption terms, and stem mainly from coal burning in China, including coal-fired power stations, coal mining,[3] and blast furnaces producing iron and steel.[4] When measuring production-based emissions, China emitted over 14 gigatonnes (Gt) CO2eq of greenhouse gases in 2019,[5] 27% of the world total.[6][7] When measuring in consumption-based terms, which adds emissions associated with imported goods and extracts those associated with exported goods, China accounts for 13 gigatonnes (Gt) or 25% of global emissions.[8]

So, yeah, bullshit map
AnysoftKeyBoard also have it, but you need to activate it
I’m also interested in this, I use Syncthing for multi-device sync, but it’s not aimed for multi-directoy in a single device backup
But, syncthing does not allow single-device synchronization, is a multi-device sync app

That’s crazy, I can’t tell you a single person under 80 years old that don’t use it here (Southern Europe), even the most technology agnostic farmer dad knows it, and use it. I thought that was the case in all of Europe too.
Holocaust dennying??? LMAO man, I wasn’t expecting that on todays list. I’m not denying anything, nothing further from reality.
Change “animal” for “jew”. If it’s an atrocity with a human it is an atrocity with another being. Sorry if you can’t see it, it’s not our fault.
Well you can try whichever philosophy that resonates with you, I said Stoicism because is the one that focused more on how to stop anxiety, but in reality all you need to do is focus on the trully important things, wich is the final purpose of any philosophy
Stoicism, meditation, mindfulness, yoga, reading, whatever other thing that makes your inner voices stop (flow/focus state)
Man, this is like going against slavery in the past, you are going to be downvoted to hell, but, in the future you will be on the right side of history, cheers.
Dicotomy of control, that the only thing that you can control is your actions and responses to the things that happen to you, you cannot control external things, none of them, not money nor work, love, death, health, nothing, just your response.
That, and the fact that everything you love is not yours, they belongs to death, and sooner or later he’s going to take it back. Live your life now. Be a good being.
There’s plenty of software designed to store personal wikis and info in markdown, if you are interested checkout Obsidian, Logseq and Jopling (in that order for me)
Southern Europe: Mostly by car, sadly. Bike commuting is something that is hard in small cities that does not focus on pedestrian/bike infrastructure. I try to walk as much as I can. But my city is designed for cars, not people.
On other hand, al least here, there’s a uprising of electric scooters and personal mobility vehicules at the moment, I think mostly because of problems with parking spaces and economic struggle withing some comunities, that priorize an economic scooter over a second hand car that can have bigger manteinance costs.
Did you heard about Don Quijote de la Mancha?
