The amount of people that think all drip coffee is the same is wild. Yeah what you get out of a keurig cup is probably going to be shit, because they use shit coffee. Some people are perfectly fine with that, and that’s just as valid as those of us that put way the fuck too much effort into it.

Sometimes I take the time to use my mocha pot. Sometimes I’ll make cold brew. Sometimes I just want a good cup of coffee with minimal effort. With the right settings and coffee, drip coffee is going to come out a helluva lot better than anything you’re gonna get at a chain place.

Yes and no.

Yes I’m a caffeine addict. But I’m also a coffee snob (for myself. I dont care what other people drink, those that do suck). If i just wanted the caffeine, I’d go back to slamming monsters like I did in college. I wouldn’t be spending the amount of time I do to get the best cup of coffee I can.

Think of it this way. Sure, I could just eat microwaved meals or other pre-prepared meals all day every day, but there’s a reason I will often to take the time to make a nice home-cooked meals (beyond budget reasons). Same reason people bother making cocktails instead of just throwing back shots

Second this. I went to school in an otherwise fairly rural area. For me, it was the perfect mix. Everything was walkable/bikeable if you wanted, but it was also less than a 20 minute drive to get away from all of it. Tons of amazing parks in the area, hiking trails, you name it. The people were a mixed bag, but that’s anywhere.

Going camping for the weekend was just as easy as going clubbing. I miss it so much, and fully plan to move to the area permanently if I’m ever able to.

An oval shaped phone is simply far more impractical than a rectangular one. Sure, the far corners are a pain if you need to use it one handed, but that’s a significant amount of screen space you’re giving away for simply browsing things.

So sure, if you do literally nothing but consume video content on your phone, fine it could work. But who does that

I think you may be a bit behind on how large the notch is on new phones. It’s literally just the front camera hole on new phones, including Galaxy, Pixel, and iPhones. I’m fairly certain that’s also the case with the majority of other Android manufacturers such as OnePlus, but I can’t be bothered to check.

If you can’t see the difference between a tiny front camera hole vs straight up removing the corners of the device, idk what to tell you.

StreetComplete is the one I use, although there’s a handful. It’s on both the play store and Fdroid

I’ve been loving it. Weirdly scratches the same itch Pokémon Go did for a while, plus it’s something actually useful.

I try to contribute as much info as I can to Open Street Map on my walks.

This is going off my memory of an explanation I read a while ago, so I could be off on the fine details, but I believe it’s one of those things that devs do indeed have the option to do, the vast majority are just lazy as shit (I’m well aware this is likely a management decision, not he individual devs themselves in most cases) and don’t want to add anything that wouldn’t be useful on both android and ios
