I was gonna find a fun obscure trope to link to but then I looked up and an hour had passed
I thought it said Transformers and I was like “why do they avoid mirrors?”
The geese are there to take back the rings.
I never understood what the dates were even used for. Like, is the date used for proof that I sent it before the deadline? Check the postmark on the envelope. Used to prove I know when the election is? Why else would I be sending a ballot. I don’t understand what the proponents of that rule are trying to accomplish other than making a really shitty literacy test.
I live in a very red part of Florida. They’ve all been pretty nice to me. Of course, I’m white, my baby is blonde haired and blue eyed, and I’m in the military. They usually get pretty surprised when I open my mouth and start spouting crazy commie stuff like Trans Rights are Human rights.
I worked with a guy that was a hard-core conservative, like just shy or real far-right talking points. Anyway he told me he doesn’t watch the news. Not that he only watches fox news, I mean he doesn’t watch any news at all. He gets his information from Facebook and tiktok
And it did. It started with coaxial. The fact that ethernet is now largely used in conjunction with UTP or STP doesn’t add much when talking about the Ethernet protocol itself.
To be pedantic: Ethernet is a protocol so mentioning the medium used outside of a historical context is kinda irrelevant.
What a wonderful website. All it needs is flames.gif and a link to a page that has little barricades on it that says “Under construction”
I blame my love of high fantasy on the Xanth series. First it was Xanth, then it was Redwall, now it’s my preferred form of escapism.
A pass key is the private key in a private/public key pair. The private key is stored in the TPM on your device. The website contains the public key. When you use your “one password” you’re in effect giving your device permission to access the key storage in your TPM to fetch the private key to present it to the site.
What this means in practice is that if a website has a data breach they won’t have your hashed password, only your public key which… is public. It doesn’t and can’t do anything on its own. It needs the private key, which again only you have and the website doesn’t store, to do anything at all.
If you want to read more about it look into cryptographic key pairs. Pretty neat how they work.
“Everyone I don’t like is a Communist” The Nazi’s guide to being GOP.
Authoritarian apologists that pretend to be communists. You can find them in the wild typically talking about how great and strong the Chinese government is and how evil and corrupt the “US Imperials” are.
Historically the term was used to describe communist members that defended the use of tanks against civilians during an uprising idln Hungary, hence the name.
It’s a pejorative term to describe authoritarian Chinese government apologists. Historically it was used to describe communist members that defended the use of tanks against civilians during a Hungary uprising.
Not really. If they schedule oil changes every 6 months the mileage check is to see if they should also schedule like a transmission check so you don’t have to keep coming back
It’s a name he adopted while living in Paris, according to Greg Sestero.
Ehhh… Doctors have a hell of a lot of administrative paperwork for each patient they have to do. That’s where the actual time goes. At least for Emergency Department doctors. I can’t speak to private practice docs.
Right, but what they are saying is that the relevant law does not address LGBT people either.
I disagree. Playing for fun would mean using a controller. Playing for fun would mean using a mouse and keyboard. Playing for fun is NOT finding out if you use your wrist or arm to aim. Playing for fun is NOT finding optimal sensitivity. That’s for competition.
He’s comparing how he plays for fun with how others play for competition.
