Still is
Still is
I was a child of the 90s when I feel this humor was more prevalent. Until now, I always thought of it as a common stereotype, like white guys in khakis, old white women and wine, or country folk and cheap beer. Something that does poke fun of a group, but generally in a light way. Now I know there’s a more significant back story. I figured it was just culturally something that developed in black communities.
You don’t have to like Google or Pixel, but we’re all adults here. Grow up and use your words like an adult. JFC, you’re not advertising for them, you’re asking a question about it.
Google Google Google Pixel Pixel Pixel
See how hard that was? Hell, you can even follow it up with, “Google Pixel phones suck and Google is a terrible company.” Censoring words for no reason is so fucking childish.
This about the dumbest post I’ve seen today. How dare these people exercise safety so that they can install the fucking safety barriers that you want for the bike lanes. Holy shit, take a step back and get a sense of reality.
Great content and great company. Sam is such a good dude.
I will have to look into that as an option. Always open to alternatives.
One of the reasons that I use Google photos is for the automatic backup of pictures I take. I’m working towards self hosting, and I haven’t got to this one yet, but that service is pretty nice. Also, when I’m traveling, I’ll take a handful pictures side by side, and Google will stitch a panorama for me. I spend time snowboarding in the mountains and hiking in tropical areas, and that’s the best way to capture a landscape that I’ve used.
Vaping was integral to me quitting smoking. Vaping isn’t the problem, advertising and accessibility of nicotine to youths is the real issue.
No it doesn’t. It’s an act that literally every person on this platform has heard of. Saying smoking, drinking, drugs, etc, does not promote the action or product. What trying to censor it does is make what you’re saying, confusing. Your message has a lack of information and seriousness, so the effects of what you’re trying to express are going to be lost on a lot of readers.
I get what you’re saying and empathize with your beliefs, but if you’re dealing with adults, you need to use the language to adequately articulate your point. While I may agree with your sentiment, the censor immediately puts your comment at a disadvantage and, at least personally, I write off the subject of it almost immediately.
Just don’t go out and say, “go smoke and drink” when discussing those topics, and I think that’s good enough to qualify as not promoting those things. Just my two cents. Not trying to be a dick if it comes off that way, just trying to give some outside perspective.
Don’t smoke and drink, it’s bad.
Smoking or vaping*
It’s the Internet, it’s ok to use the whole word.
I want to say mythbusters did this in a sim. They had ATC walk them through it. I want to say they landed, but maybe not in the first attempt. It’s been a while and it might not have been myth busters.
Based on your responses here, you fucking suck, so I’m surprised your coworkers bother giving you the time of day. Keep being you, and the “problem” of people trying to befriend and socialize with you will do in it’s own.
Self medicating is not good advice, but fuck, THC has been magical for me in this regard. I’m not saying it’s made everything alright and that it doesn’t carry negatives with it, but overall I’m better with it in my life. I still have other issues with depression and possible ADHD (lots of symptoms, waiting list to get a professional eval) but weed helps me chill and cope with life.
I want to try shrooms, but I need a good Sherpa, and product. I had a little bit of a shroom chocolate bar last new years, but I was already stoned and drunk, so I couldn’t tell where the alcohol ended and the shrooms began.
The moment I hear my first ad, I will be immediately dropping the service. My consumption you YT content will drop almost to nothing. I absolutely refuse to pay for a service that has ads. You don’t get it both ways.
If they do, I will not be a premium subscriber anymore.
YT isn’t pushing the content that I’m subscribed to. It’s hosting it and serving it when I want to watch it. In turn those creators make money so that they can continue creating content that I enjoy. There is no better platform for finding content on how to compete some tasks, like fixing something specific on a car, how to knit a scarf, or unbiased snowboard reviews. Without YT, that information does not exist to the general public for free or is not easily accessible. Can it be better? Absolutely. But it is absolutely a net gain for content creators regardless of the disservices you may be referencing, and as I mentioned, provided access to information not available anywhere else.
How do content creators make money on these alternatives? It’s a noble idea to get away from big corp, but someone has to foot that bill, so it’s either ads or subs. Nobody had a platform that rivals YT except for probably PH, and that’s not a real option.
I originally got YT music which came with YT Red. I don’t like the price increases, but I have a family plan and 4 of the 6 spots are friends that pay me for access. It costs my wife and I about $6 a month for unlimited music streaming and ad free YT. I don’t have any problem paying for content as long as it’s accessible and not overly priced. YT isn’t free to run so Google has to make money somehow and that’s either ads or premium memberships. Some of that goes to content creators that I spend hours watching weekly.
I’ve read about how some of the ad content is displayed on videos it shouldn’t be, and some ads are overly intrusive, and that’s not good. Also, I don’t agree with many of Google’s practices as of late. That sucks, but until there’s a better option with the content I want to watch at a price I’m willing to pay around, I’ll happily pay my dues.
It’s a short way of saying, “fellow”, which is an informal term to refer to a male.
“Hey fellas” == “hey guys”.
