There was a youtuber who had an old bulldozer in a farm and someone suggested he rolled it up and down a steep hill he had on his land. He did so but he made the mistake of leaving it in gear while rolling down with the clutch in and once he made it at the bottom he realized that the clutch had exploded. The bulldozer must have never reached a speed higher than 10 mph while going downhill but thanks to the insane gear ratio it still spun the clutch disk so fast that it tore itself apart with the centrifugal forces.

I just thought it was an interesting story telling how not made to go fast these things are.

By default I disable notifications for all my apps unless it is something I need notifications from. And even there I still disable notification types that I don’t care about in the settings.

I swear on Reddit you couldn’t post anything without having to spend 5 minutes proof-reading it to make sure there wasn’t a way to misinterpret anything intentionally or unintentionally and that you haven’t left any gaps in your explanation that someone could fill for you. If you missed anything some parasite would downvote you, twist what you said against you to make you look like something worse than Hitler and rally up everyone against you.

I used to be annoyed by this. I’m running GrapheneOS so I denied Google Photos access to the network but it didn’t stop it from asking every few times I started the app. Sometimes it even ignored my response and tried to connect to the network anyway.

I just uninstalled it and installed Fossify Gallery instead from F-droid. Haven’t looked back since.

Carefully dremel a slot in the screw head and use a flat head screwdriver.

Make sure you don’t get any dust into the electronics.

This is just as cringe as that picture of him wearing that Samurai armor that he uses as a profile picture. He just doesn’t know it yet.

I saw it years before deepfakes were a thing. I wish I had saved the video now. I would have loved to take a more critical look at it.

There was a Trump interview from the 90s where he said that if he ever ran for office he would go Republican because they were stupid, gullible and easily manipulated. Sadly I cannot find that interview anymore.
