  • I agree with the others but here is some advice when you are happy being alone.

Don’t let the search for a gf become a large part of your life again. I was on all the dating apps and whatnot thinking I was ready to have a gf and I still think I was. But the search started consuming me i spent an hour or two a day reading profiles and going through pictures to try to find the right one. i would read the bios of girls and think about how perfect we would be together and swipe on them. If a girl swipped on me even if she wasn’t up to my standards I would swipe just because… maybe if I give her a chance… it would work.

After maybe a year of that, numerous dates and spiraling depression I realized what it was doing to me. I found a half way decent dating app and canceled all the other subscriptions. Then I just started trading it as a game, 5/10 minutes here or there throughout the week and that was it. I was in a much better place. Fast forward 3 months and my gf actually swiped on me, fast forward a year and we are expecting our first kid.

  • Exactly, or that’s how it was explained to me. Say you get a 10k raise from 94k to 104k and the next bracket is at 100k. If your old percent was 20% and the 100k bracket is 25% only the “extra” 4k would be taxed at 25% and the 6k before that would be 20%.

Or so I’ve been told by smarter people than me. Numbers/ brackets and percentages are all made up to make it easier.

    Midwest, US if it matters.

Not the 529,000 views that the video got? Was that satire or is there actually a channel that is that popular for candy crush and state of the game updates on it?

I don’t want to search for it and poison my recommendations for years to come

  • I live in the midwest and have seen plenty over the years to not trust my dogs training 100%. There was a dead cat a mile up the road from my house yesterday that got hit by a car.

Every once in awhile an owner decides to walk their dog from the dogpark entrance to their car without a leash and it runs off and gets hit. It’s not the dogs fault the owner is a dumbass

  • I’m the same, i like the way my truck looks. Is it great these days? Nope it’s an old 08 with a little rust, ok a lot but hush, i love it anyway. Do i need a truck 97% of the time? Nope but that 3% of the time i do its amazing. And those people i pull out of random ditches in the winter will appreciate it I’m sure.

  • I read it as a way to filter/ sort the results. For instance i tag a single tag ‘DnD’ on a post, it would show higher up on the results list than a post tagged with ‘DnD’, ‘fantasy’, ‘tabletop’,‘minis’,‘#cute’. This would encourage concise taging vs spamming as many tags as you can.

Just my interpretation though, could be wrong.

  • This is what gets me. I look into software for my company. Someone put up a open source alternative. I expressed my concerns with a small open source project and they acted like i murdered his first born. Well past the point of unprofessional and into the HR realm.

I’m not against open source by any means but there is a place for everything. This just was not the place for this specific product with only a handful of devs and no support. If a system goes down we need to have someone we can call.
