I’m sure my command line game is weak. Do you have a solution for connecting to Bluetooth and for timing out to login screen and blanking it after a certain period?
Exactly. I could use it as my daily if the settings panel was more complete.
I agree
I couldn’t even connect Bluetooth until I switched to Gnome again
Not in the long view it wouldn’t be that bad but we’ve seen other projects take so many years. Look how long it’s taken Wayland.
That’s my plan. I’m back on Gnome until feature parity.
I’m just afraid it’s gonna be another 2 years before it’s ready for everyday use
The pharmacy is not where the people that stock the front of the store work. They are very busy trying to fill hundreds of prescriptions and deal with doctors, patients and insurance companies.
Don’t ask them where to find the cosmetics that are on sale. We don’t even know. We are not a service desk.
Glad I could help
How can no one else miss Taco Bell’s naked chicken chalupa? I loved that thing.
And the McRib is missed every time it leaves.
I don’t disagree with you either. But I think that when people give their phone number to a business they are often unaware of all of the nefarious ways it will be used, whether by ignorance or deception.
My point is just that replaceable usernames are perfect for random people you meet IRL or on the Internet because it’s minimal trouble to disconnect permanently when the time comes.
I have given names to people on the Internet and changed names after our conversation was finished. I think that is much better than giving someone a phone number and much easier to change.
It would be perfect except that the fingerprint protection includes forcing the screen refresh rate to the lowest common denominator. Scrolling is unbearable.
They need to report whatever number they want while always using the highest rate instead.
Speaking of dark patterns, anyone use TurboTax lately?
My family is all on iMessage. I told them if they didn’t install Signal I wouldn’t reply to their texts.
At first, whenever they texted I would just reply with something that looked automated like “This user is no longer available via text message. Please install Signal if you wish to communicate.”
I use Summit for now. I went through quite a few others but this one is a keeper.
Anyone else having the flatpak app crash when you click on a notification?
I use Firefox and DDG on my Pixel but I do keep a small Google option for those (usually location based} particular searches
Thanks for the useful info. Still, I don’t think I want to fool with it until it’s available via GUI. That’s just me.
And I hope you are right about the rest being quicker.
