PICNIC. Problem in chair, not in computer.
Like Wallace and Gromit but instead of cheese it’s biscuits.

If they’re anything like me then the game is called Family and it’s on difficult mode.
I did similar a couple of year ago excluding the graphics card (kept my existing 1070). Spent about £1000 on a new setup for mostly gaming only to realise I hardly use it. Great PC, just wished I had time to use it more.
I’ve been upset for about 10 years or so. I used to use the Love Film service where I got two Blu-ray at a time posted to me. The company was bought my Amazon. Ok, don’t like Amazon but that’s fine, I like the service still. They then incorporate it into their Prime package. I didn’t want anything else, just discs by post. To retain the disc service it cost more than just prime as prime was a requirement. They sneaked Prime onto my account without me realising and the price went up. They were phasing people from discs to online by making it the cheaper option. They then phased the disc service out altogether.
They literally bought Love Film to shut it down.
I’m was happy renting blurays. I switched to buying Blu-ray for a while but I have no where to keep a collection. So I have up and switched to Kodi.
Quite sad really. I still have what were then two good quality Blu-ray players now collecting dust. I sometimes look at them and think one day…
The pink oboe.
I maintain a Linux server at work which has our ERP on it (I wouldn’t say I’m great at it but know the basics). I use Linux at home for a few projects and things like routers, etc. My daily PC at home is Windows. I like Linux but the issues I’ve had in the past, while they can be resolved, generally take up more time that I’m willing to put in. I don’t want a hobby just to keep my PC working.
Then plug in a DVD player which will probably do the same thing.
I work for a company which used to have 13 financial periods. It was great. Then they switched to 12 and we now have a couple of 5 week periods thrown in to balance the year out. I don’t know why they decided that but it’s not as good now.
I can believe that. Where I work people use the Bi system to dump data out to Excel to then build the reports they want to see. Madness.
My family have a thing for bright lights, we don’t like them usually, and they trigger sneezing. No idea why.
Do any of you sneeze when looking at bright lights?
The UK version was narrated by Craig Charles and he really made it better just by adding silly comments over the top. I always used to laugh when the water cannon challenge was on and he would excitedly say “don’t let them penetrate your rings”
I always thought it was due to clearing the lungs out or to regulate them but then I saw a turtle yawn under water. I then thought it’s ancestors wouldn’t have been swimmers so maybe it’s instinctive still, but then it would need a mechanism to prevent water inhalation. So why retain the yawn.
Perhaps as you say it’s more about visual communication to others around you.
It’s for angling with it’s back more towards the door in case the Mrs walks in. It buys a few more seconds of safety.
A few years ago I installed Ubuntu on a laptop, used it a bunch of times then it got put away for a year or so. When I booted it back up it told me the OS was out of date and needed to be updated. When I tried it gave me some errors. I searched online and basically I couldn’t update because it was too old. I needed to update in stages but the next release was also out of support.
I realised I don’t use it enough to care. I installed windows on it.
I do use Linux at work and on things at home like routers, retro gaming, etc. They’re not really comparable though.
I think they are referring to the schools view on the cut and not aimed at you.
I’ve never thought about that. Could it be because :) became the shortcut for emoji?
It would be even more real if one of those photos had a plastic bag flying through the air.
Sumfin. How’s how we say it.
