Google is just looking for good PR because their plan is to sell assemblies instead of individual parts. As an example, say on the phone’s motherboard a particular chip died, instead of replacing just that one piece Google wants to to sell you a whole new board at a cost so high that most people would probably consider just buying a new phone instead. They even attack Apple by suggesting governments should ban part pairing so they can look like the good guys.

Take away the photoshop and the drawing tablet and those artists will still know how to draw using pencils and paper. Take away the AI and those that use it won’t know what to do.

Well there was the incident with voice actress Erica Lindbeck where someone used AI tools to make a song using her voice. That doesn’t fall under any laws currently but it’s still an asshole thing to do, without first getting permission. Or how about when someone was making AI art in someone else’s style and even tried to credit the original artist as if they were the creator.

Maybe that’s because their own class is stealing and emulating their art without permission, sometimes even on purpose as a “fuck you” to them. In this case it’s not just the corporations screwing them over.

So woodworkers that got taken out of their profession because of cnc machines, are bad at their craft? Don’t try to blame the artists/craftsmen just because people always look to save money or time. Some artists aren’t even asking to be paid they do it as a hobby, how do you think they feel when someone goes and takes their work and makes knockoffs without even asking them most of the time. Stop acting entitled

People that simp for AI art just don’t want to pay artists. Pricing for commissions can vary depending on the artist and what’s being asked. Then to make it worse, some of the more popular artists either don’t take commissions or they are always sold out almost immediately. So some people decide instead of paying or learning to draw themselves, they will just let the AI do it. They steal other people’s work and feed it to the AI so it can emulate the desired artist. Some even have the audacity to sell it.

That’s due to Google adding play protect to the play store, which scans for “malicious” apps on your device that were installed outside of the play store. If you’re someone that likes to sideload and knows what they are doing then I would suggest turning it off to avoid Google removing your stuff.
