  • I love you for being so human

Just a random person on the internet asked you to explain something, and you did, you’re so cool

Thank you for the explanation, I will really remember and keep it for my whole life

    ❤️‍🩹

(No sarcasm, really, people these days are so mean and tell you to look everything up yourself, or just get angry because you ask or don’t know. Even though you could just copy and paste, this is a human interaction. Really happy to see somebody’s still alive)

  • Hehehehe, how we came here, if somebody wants to message their niece that doesn’t have a sim card then that somebody is doing something bad 😆

(Sarcasm) 100% somebody isn’t using SMS or fb messanger that somebody is a terrorist, extremist, child abuser, and drug user

C’mon, somebody is asking for software advice, just mentioning that it would be cool to educate the kids how to use private services

And even if somebody might be doing something shady, you can’t really accuse or suspect somebody, this is really dark of you to suspect everyone around you and starting a witch hunt 😂😂😂

  • Good password managers, but what if not every single person wants to use “good password managers”

I agree it’s not perfect, but at the same time it’s better than using some third party service, or using plaintext, or using the same password everywhere

If somebody wants to use some gocryptfs or veracrypt for storing passwords, why not, it’s not the best, but still pretty nice

  • because not all encryption is created equal.

XChaCha20-Poly1305 is used by a lot of stuff, pretty solid thing

Also password managers should lock after some seconds. You wouldn’t want your note taking app to lock as frequently as your password manager.

I would love my notes to lock in some time

The key to opsec is compartmentalizing.

It’s more true for privacy and anonymity, but security doesn’t really care about compartmentalizing your everyday notes from your everyday passwords.

And in general, some people might need some lighter approach for storing passwords, unless it’s some google keep, or some other plaintext, I think it should be fine
