Sigil and Calibre have tools that allow you to view metadata and edit html, toc etc. But I doubt there’d be tracking on a travel book tbh despite the comments below - (I’m happy to be corrected). It’s often visible on journal articles and others have stated technical books too.

I suspect the UK was only a little behind America’s trend towards using cars. lemm.ee or lemmy.ml are more open large-ish instances. I keep an alt for specific hobbies.

In fact this is my hobby account, and my ‘main’ account is on a country specific instance.

It’s literally the dotworld admins behaving that way. They’re too quick to block. And there’s a pattern of behaviour.

Literally the best thing to do is spread the load and increase our diversity of instances and communities elsewhere other than one big one, to keep it sustainable.

Actually no, or maybe combine that with a pop-up to move to another more open, freer instance - with automatic subs, blocks and settings migration. That would be productive.
