Unfortunately, the only way to kick tankies out of 196 is to get 196 out of Lemmy. Because Lemmy is being developed by two tankies themselves, with a third one about to join. And because despite being defederated from hexbear and lemmygrad, lemmy.ml is still a free roam place for tankies from those two cesspool places. So, either defederate yourselves from lemmy.ml (nobody would do that), or fork lemmy into a new clean place (not impossible, but difficult to perform), or do as beehaw will do soon.
The only original content I can think about right now is polandball. Other than that, reddit did and is doing the same.
A pronoun replaces the noun. An adjective usually accompanies the noun, but it never replaces it.
“My house is there”. I’ve never heard anyone saying “My is there”. But I did hear saying “Mine is there”.
No, a determiner is a person who mines deuterium.
I think it’s an adjective.
Tankies should learn how to read, so this message reaches to them.
“Americana” is also the name of the jacket for a suit.
Well, that’s very easy to fix. Just hide the playstation beep with another random louder noise. Then profit.
Person with ASD, more likely.
Can you explain this gap in your resume?
Yes. I can.
…
…
So?
So what?
Why don’t you explain it?
Because you didn’t asked me to explain it, you asked me if I could explain it.
But English, being a de facto universal language, has good creativity to invent new words, either from native speakers or from foreign influences. For example, the word “D’oh” didn’t exist until Homer Simpson (Dan Castellaneta) popularized it. And I think the word “meme” didn’t exist either 40 or 50 years ago.
I think a good way to know that is to read newspapers from 100 years ago or older, and see how people from US were called.
“Hombre no binario” and “Mujer no binaria”. Or, if you prefer, “Persona no binaria”. So, it’s not the gender of the person, but the gender of the noun.
Whether it’s one continent or two, the point is that it’s bigger than the United States. At least I’ve always studied that Americans are people who live in America, either from Canada, United States, Mexico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Argentina… Then you can divide them between North Americans and South Americans.
That’s exactly what happens to me when I tell them America is a continent. Like, WTF?
There is a polandball community on Lemmy, but it doesn’t seem very active :(
Besides, I don’t think those are good manners to address a neurodivergent person (ADHD/ASD).
You’re not answering my question.
Here are some small pieces of advice for you, and anyone else who is interested:
Block Lemmygrad.ml, because fascists.
Block Lemmy.ml, because admins are fascists.
Block Hexbear.net, because fascists and trolls.
Block any user from Lemmygrad.ml, Hexbear.net, and the usual suspects from Lemmy.ml.
That’s it. 90% of toxicity is no more.
