Long thyme no see.

Safari + sponsorblock to airplay YouTube videos to the TV without needing some third party app like smarttubenext on the TV or logging into YouTube premium.
No ads and skipping sponsors with just no extra steps and no need for any other apps is nice. Especially since I don’t even have the YouTube app installed.
I have a S23U and edge panels to open up new apps and one hand operation + to make gestures from the edges helps me navigate with one hand.
Edit: I think that this feature is id-walled for kbin users. Which is good, it’s already potentially problematic enough that the entire Lemmy content is fully “crawl-able” without limitation by OpenAI and other less-desirable content crawlers; it would be really problematic if votes were unconditionally public.
It can be viewed without an account might be the url being a problem. But, you can go to kbin and then click “more” then “activity” for any comment or thread to look through what kbin was able to register when it comes to user votes.
I am not running an instance, and am not familiar with the synchronization delay, but this seems unexpectedly long (the downvotes for this post started immediately as I posted it - more than 24 hours ago, so it’s very surprising to see nothing on kbin).
kbin and lemmy has sometimes been problematic when it comes to synchronizing content. Sometimes threads don’t even show up on kbin or lemmy if the opposite userbase attempts to make a thread. Same for lemmy and lemmy instances too where some comments will show up and others don’t. Even more inconsistencies with how instances will have different defederation lists. This makes votes appear inconsistent from instances to instances and even more so for instances that deactivated downvotes.
Checking it appears that kbin only registers upvotes from kbin and lemmy instances now and only downvotes from kbin users publicly. Wonder if this is a decision kbin made or something was done on lemmy end to keep downvotes of lemmy users from being registered by kbin.
Kbin only shows favorites. They don’t show actual upvotes/downvotes (which is a good thing IMHO).
But it’s not like you would check anything properly before opening your mouth…
No. The reduces tab is what downvotes are registered as. Not all instances are in sync so it records what it can as opposed to only kbin users. That’s the nature of decentralization so votes will be different from instance to instance.
Anyways, I downvoted your comment as a example and you should see my username pop up. It’s public on kbin.

There was even an amusing situation where a mod went into a users profile and downvoted that users comments and everyone could see it.

Relax and take a breath.
What bots…All votes are public. At least from kbin so there’s no conspiracy. You can see who upvoted and who downvoted.

I’m jealous of the tildes app since I loved reddit is fun.
Really refreshing to see Apple fans who have not forgotten they are consumers who have features they want as opposed to accepting whatever decision is made for them.
Other site was a weird mix of people who seemed less Apple consumers and shared more in common with Apple shareholders with the lengths they’d go to defend things from Apple’s financial point of view.
Thanks for the recommendation. Seems like a good powered one.
That means any hub you wanna get is probably fine.
Seen reviews for some where interference occurred. Like this hub for instance doesn’t seem good despite reviews for wireless use based on keyword search https://www.amazon.com/uni-Aluminum-Adapter-Ultra-Slim-Compatible/dp/B08M3ZY8SZ
Seems to be when there isn’t proper shielding for usb 3.0 which is why I asked for recommendations, since would prefer to be able to stick in the 2.4 ghz dongles without needing an additional extension to the hub.

Was why I was wondering if people had specific recommendations for products that worked for them, since some reviews have mentioned in comments that it gave them issues with their wireless peripherals, so instead of just picking some random one was just asking community for ones that had worked for them.
Did get some suggestions of actual used products here, so will check those out.
Aware of it. I’m just seeking usb dongle recommendations people have had success with, since there are varying qualities where I’ve seen in some reviews people have issues with wireless peripherals while other models didn’t. The one in my monitor has been reliable, but I need more ports.
If plugging in directly causes interference, but using your monitors USB hub doesn’t that’s contradictory to your theory of hubs introducing lag,
I never said my usb hub was introducing lag. Nomenclature may be incorrect, but it’s just some words people have used to basically say interference. I was asking for recommendations on usb dongles people use that have been reliable, since some product reviews have shown issues with wireless peripherals.
I don’t know if this is relevant, but might explain why not all usb hubs will be problem free.

It would help if there was unique animations each time, but it’s the same exact movement that makes it get tiresome.
I got a zero weight mod so I wouldn’t need to bother with inventory management.
Games that give you rapid and fun ways to travel have been ones that I’ve actually not found tedious to get from point a to point b. Methods I’ve like have been blink (teleporting short distances), grapple hook, super speed, flying, etc.
But, just old fashioned running or driving gets stale fast.
Comments seem kind of mixed for both when it comes to wireless with some saying it is working and some saying it doesn’t. I’ll probably have to order test it.
I thought so too, but plugging in my logitech 2.4 ghz dongle directly into my macmini led to bunch of skipping until I used my monitor USB. So led me to wondering if that was something to look out for when picking up a dongle hub too.
And sure enough searching for the keyword wireless for this product led to people saying they got lag with their peripherals.

I don’t see them saying they don’t tip, but arguing against the system in place. Which are two separate things.
Yeah, people don’t likes hidden charges or surprise fees. It’s “optional” but not really if you want to be a part of society.
Accessing chats in big picture mode seems worse than how it worked in old big picture mode. Usually if you are in big picture mode it is because you are using a controller, and with the new one it is hard to navigate chats with the controller so I end up using a mouse.
Also, would be nice to have an option to display the entire text of a comment in pop ups, since it often cuts off and I have to entire toggle to overlay , alt tab, or look at the terrible steam chat mobile app. Apps needs work for basic messaging with it not refreshing to show the most recent chat consistently so having to exit and reopen.
