So the solution to forced rebooting is to have to suffer through the ridiculous boot times for windows every day?

In one of my old jobs we had a couple thousand line shell script called something like prod_corrections_adhoc.ksh. It was used to jam through emergency fixes between code releases.
It still has ‘adhoc corrections’ from 2006
Personally I prefer the flavour of plant-based alternatives over dairy milk. So I don’t see myself having any interest in buying it.
However, if they can engineer milk proteins for cheese production than I am very excited. Casein proteins are biochemical miracles and no plant-based cheeses are able to mimic the protein matrix in cheese properly. Instead they end up relying on starches to set, which isn’t the same at all.
Cost per gram is the only sensible measurement
… Or, you know, just adapt the recipe. Not simping for shrinkflation here, but it’s pretty dumb to buy more than you need just to exactly match a recipe for queso. Shit ain’t analytical chemistry
Two words: pube loofah. The mons pubis is a great place to lather up. Then I just scoop up soap with my bare hands and bring it where it needs to be.
Mathematical notation was designed to be written by hand. It is at least as clear and descriptive as any syntax from a programming language. You’re pretending that the abstraction behind a for loop is somehow less than that behind a sum or product notation.
This post confuses me. Why would code be simpler than the math notation? Both involve symbolic abstraction of basically the same complexity
Bring it to Canada!
Given your usage why would you even compare the cost of your car to the cost of a monthly pass? Most bus passes are calibrated to make sense for people using transit as their primary means of transportation. You use your car much less than that, so to make an apples-to-apples comparison you’d need to compare your car costs against the same number of trips on transit.
I’m surprised that your insurance and gas cost is so low. A TTC monthly pass is only $156. You must have very cheap insurance and use only a small amount of fuel.
The vast majority of my journeys are on foot. The remainder are with public transit. I don’t own a car or a bike
Long term capital gains are taxed at half the rate of income. So yes, share based compensation is a way to reduce taxes. There is also a line of thinking that having the leadership’s compensation tied to the stock’s performance helps align the interests of shareholders and management.
