Voting is the minimum. The reason there’s no decent alternative is because people vote and think they did their part.

I know a few women that are trans rights activists. Some of them have confided to me that drag queens make them feel ‘icky’. You know because it’s a caricature of women.
I’m just following up because I feel like you’ve been unfairly dog piled on because you also find drag ‘icky’.
I think it’s a little unfair, and we have a society that’s not even close to a conversation about why that borders inappropriate.

As far as the trans conversation goes, I think we’re in the same boat as well. I don’t get it, but they deserve my respect, so I take what they say at face value, and until some kind of evidence comes by that refutes their experience, I’ll continue to lend support where I can.

MJ is a weird case. It’s super suspicious, but the fact that parents let kids sleep over is even more suspicious. As a parent, I’d never let my kids sleep over at mjs place. Especially with the rumors.
So why would a parent do that? Extortion seems reasonable.
Worst case, parents were feeding their kids to a child predator so they could extort a filthy rich guy.

It’s easy to complain, it’s probably my favorite hobby, but what can we do to smash capitalism? Personally, I think it’s co-ops. Worker co-ops. Housing co-ops. Service co-ops. Let’s shed our corporate overlords and build something for eachother.

There’s been a push for this in a lot of the media I consume. Usually they push the solar punk aesthetic as something to work towards.
Last year I started a worker co-op that works at assisting not for profit housing. I pay my bills, but I’m the only one working full-time so far. I’ve also been working on having perennial plant food growing in my neighborhood. I’ve planted fruit trees and other varieties of fruits and vegetables that grow without much care.

Gus was likeable and cared for his employees. Gus, along with Jesse, were the heroes of that story.
