For starters this is possible on other devices. The specs of those devices may be slightly lower but the “spacial computing” is possible. Secondly what meaningful work could anyone get done pecking away at their VR KB?

This isn’t even technically AR. It’s all VR.

This seems specific to marijuana but I fully agree that testing in a way that covers so much time and isn’t specific is unfair.
A THC test with a short window is what’s needed but that’s specific to marijuana use. It’s wild that you don’t really care if someone comes to work high or drunk. In very real non hypothetical situations people can die or be severely injured if someone isn’t paying attention. Would you allow law enforcement to work under the influence?
This sounds like a talking point for the right about the “extreme” left. I don’t own a business but I also don’t expect them to foot the bill if I come to work drunk and it sounds pretty ridiculous to say they should. Saying addicts should get jobs and not worry about the consequences of coming to work under the influence is ridiculous. I’m all for helping people when they’re ready for help but giving them a pass for being reckless is too far.
It’s $15/year. Not exactly breaking the bank.
Chrome based browsers can get fucked.
If everyone could stop bitching about YouTube blocking ad blockers that would be great.
If the content sucks then why are you worried about viewing it to even see the ads, if the content doesn’t suck you are entitled to it for free? Even before the Internet the newspaper had ads and it usually wasn’t free. It could all be better but lately all I see are people bitching that they can’t view content that they claim to hate for absolutely nothing in return.
Would’ve been better to say something like: Don’t get as sick and potentially die when you do catch one or both of these viruses. Also stay home when you’re sick.
I still don’t think that’s how it works even if X would like it to.
Right but none of it is open source so being extensively documented doesn’t mean much and what I said still stands. You are assuming that what apple has told you is the truth with zero 3rd party audits of the underlying code.
I agree that’s not how it works in most places but I don’t assume to know the inner working of a Chinese iphone or the version of iOS it’s running. If there is a financial incentive apple will bend for China while also saying it didn’t.
It could already be completely hackable and no one would know because the security in this case is solely based on apples word with zero auditing. If there were a true financial incentive there is no doubt they would compromise “security”.
Hope this comes to fruition. Maybe it would help people realize how dumb it is to be locked into these services in the first place.
I recently threw my HP printer scanner in the trash. It worked fine until I decided to stop paying monthly for ink and they bricked the cartridges and because the ink was dead I couldn’t use the scanner. Fuck HP.
