Didn’t know about this!
Love how people can host it. Very easy to use UI as well.
I’m caught between the two at the moment.
My Reddit app (Relay) is still working for now so I’m using that to browse the few communities that don’t have a foothold here yet.
Once Relay kicks the bucket I’ll be forced to browse in Firefox with uBlock and that’ll definitely cut down the amount of time I spend on there.
I honestly struggled to sit through the first part in the cinema which has never happened before. Every time I hoped it was going to end it dragged out more.
Hopefully the second part is easier to watch. Had high hopes for these moves as someone new to the franchise!
They’re paying for the use of the Boost app that the developer themselves created though? If they were charging for a Lemmy server I’d understand the point but they’re paying for a client that they don’t have to pay for. If it brings more people over to Lemmy then we all benefit really.
I also paid for Boost because the UI beat out all the other clients that I tried, replacing Connect which was my favourite at the time. It felt the most like Relay that I used to use on Reddit.
