What’s this thing called summer socks? I wear the same wool socks all year and it’s great! It’s either wool socks or sockless sandels.

I only wear wool socks and work from home. I can easily go 4-5 days if I’ve only gone outside to get groceries or whatnot.
If I’m going out to socialize though and it’s been more than 2 days I’ll get a fresh pair.
Wool socks? Camping on a beach i would have just washed them in the water at least once and gone sockless while they dried.
Well the good thing is they were able to reproduce it themselves so they won’t drive themselves fully crazy trying to narrow that down, assuming not a scam.
I wonder how much you could automate that all to remove as much human factor as possible and be down to exact times if needed.
Reminds me of race conditions in programming.
1 in 15 times the bug happens and you can’t figure it out, but if 2 asynchronous events happen to happen within 10ms of each other it breaks.
Could be some super specific timing on one of the steps where a discrepancy of a short time doesn’t seem meaningful but is
Wires that wouldn’t electrocute us?
Is it because we would have resistance and it wouldn’t so it’d ignore us?
If it’s unsure, but for whatever reason this failed, it seemed sure.
I’ve had the car slow in unsure situations before so it can and does.
It just got this one very wrong for some reason
If you’ve watched any of their recent AI talks, they talk a lot about these unusual and complex intersections. Lane mappings in complexe intersections being one of the hardest problems. Currently they’re taking data from numerous cars to reconstruct intersections like this to then turn into a simulation and train it so it learns more and more complex things.
There really are only 2 options.
Solve this with vision and AI, or solve this with HD maps.
But it has to be solved.
If I don’t put out random cups of water for her around the house so she can think she’s stealing from MY cup, she’ll try to drink from mine every time
I think part of the problem was websites needing to work on other browsers too. When it’s your own engine if a website doesn’t test against it, the website might be broken. So then the websites say they don’t support such and such browser.
Less of an issue when its all chromium.
We run into problems on safari a lot like this since my partner keeps using it on her Mac.
Ya, if the news organizations are using open graph and that’s all Google and Facebook and whoever are using that’s stupid.
Show our preview so people will click the link! OH NO our preview is too good and people aren’t clicking the link! Government make them pay us!
Is it actually a provided preview, or a preview they are generating.
I know part of the legit problem is when a website summarizes something and then people don’t click on the link, which reduces ad revenue.
But maybe there’s a provided summary (which should be fine) and the other way it gets summarized (which could arguably be deemed bad)
But making them pay to just link with is batshit insane.
I’m still using SourceTree, I’ve tried a few others but have always gone back. Never heard of Fork tough, guess I’ll try that out.
You’d think they’d all be excited to join this new federation
How long now until reddit stops paying rent, gets evicted, and fires all their employees because they get told to work in an office they were evicted from and you can’t work from home?
I feel like I’ve just been given an invaluable tip that I may have never ever received had I not taken part in this conversation about socks.
I’ll remember this should I ever go to NYC
