  • Absolutely!

And I’ve had companies offer me a discount on product, rather than a full refund or replacement. I always refuse and state how disappointed I am. They pretty much always follow up with a full refund or new product.

Hell, I even ordered an indoor spin bike, complained that it used non-standard crank arms, and they refunded me $100 to replace the crank arms and pedals! Just for stating that I was unhappy with one aspect of an otherwise great purchase.

  • I’ve had Amazon listings where the title, description, specs on the box, specs on the product, and the reviews ALL had different information.

    Who creates these listings? AI?

That said, I strongly encourage anyone who shops on Amazon to complain about issues in your reviews, and contact the seller if ANYTHING is wrong with your product. I have a 99% success rate of getting replacements or a full refund while doing this (resulting in basically a free product), even if the issue is cosmetic or a personal dislike. Just be honest.

  • I love Fortnine and their videos, but he missed a glaring issue: big ass vehicles are difficult to manoeuvre in cities (i.e. near pedestrians).

And while he did very briefly touch on the fact that a sloped front end could help you see more in front of you, you still wouldn’t be able to see beside or behind you very well.

I mean, FFS, he was standing next to the thing and his head was just barely above the bottom of the window! Anyone 5.5’ or shorter would be unseen by the driver if they were standing right beside it!

  • I ordered a lens filter for my camera, and couldn’t believe the amount of packaging and plastic wrapping it came with. It was absurd to the point of lunacy. We’re talking several boxes, something like four or five different plastic wrappers, etc. For a lens filter!

It’s almost like manufacturers are aware that consumers aren’t “allowed” to use single-use plastic when getting groceries, so they double-down on their use for everything else!

What about the item that says “SAVE 25% TODAY”, rather than “up to 25%”? That one also gave me 5% after I clicked on it.

I’ve used subscribe and save in the past, so I know how the program works. But I can’t recall this wording/behaviour before, and it was always clear what discount I would get before clicking on subscribe.

Edit: Ok, the above strangeness only happens when the item is in the shopping cart. When I view the item’s full page listing, it says “subscribe and save 5% now and up to 10% on repeat deliveries”. So where the “25% now and 15% later” thing comes from, I have no clue. But it almost tricked me.
