  • Been with my SO for 10 years and we use pet names!

Honey and babe we use, they’re short and sweet! A quick “Honey dinners done” is to the point, and I’m indicating I’m ready to have a sweet ‘intimate’ moment with her. It doesn’t feel forced to use at all, no cringe feelings. We both find it endearing :).

BUT that doesn’t mean I dont use their name lol. If I know she has a headphone in, ill use her name because I know she’ll catch on that I’m calling for her quicker. Or if its for something more serious, like I need you come look at this with me. Oh and especially in public, as others have pointed out.

sorry you find it cringe babes we just love each other ❤️

    This is so surreal.

Like, the fact that the scene was generally continuous is absolutely crazy. If you look closely it falls apart, but most people don’t look too closely when scrolling instagram or Twitter.

But my main thing is this is how my memories “look” when I try and remember something; I don’t remember every detail neccesarily. Im having a hard time explaining it but if you extrapolate what I see when I think of my memories, I get this same, slightly smearing, not perfect recollection. Idk just rambling but this is getting a bit existential for me.

  • Ya know what? Fair.

I do think that’s a reasonable take, but the person I replied to seemed unwilling to engage with the content in question but still wanted to chime in casting random uninformed doubts. Doesn’t add much of anything. If they had cited parts of the video that made them question it I wouldnt have said anything, because honestly I ALSO asked myself those questions.

  • 30 minutes of this video is an interview… that touches on different aspects of the beast operation beyond the scope of the first.

The YT account only has two videos (the two about beast).

I don’t believe he himself (the creator) was an influencer.

He turned off monetization on the video.

Thanks for the preface, but all this reply does is stir the pot without adding anything of value to the convo.

  • In the electrical design world, we NEED examples to point to to sway customers. To me, this is great for that reason alone. Even if they don’t go with hydro, giant successful renewable projects still push the perception of feasibility of the ancillary renewables.

Energy Codes are becoming more stringent every 3 years. As our tech gets better, the next level of building code and energy consumption standards can be aggressively lower than the last iteration. Sometimes so aggressively that manufacturers legitimately don’t have proper solutions for them. (An example is about a decade ago, when LEDs were less reliable and efficient, IECC set an aggressive lumens per watt threshold that was, at the time, not feasible. Nowadays they blow past it in efficiency)

But ya know what? It forces them to TRY. If there’s enough pushback because the new standards can’t be met, it at the very least opens the dialog.

I guess I’m ranting a bit, but after getting a new perspective with my employment, I do earnestly believe the scientific professionals ARE trying to push for a more environmentally approach to new construction, but we need regulation to drive innovation. Otherwise innovation stalls, in my opinion. Im sure I’m philosophically incorrect on that point, but its what I’ve noticed from my experience talking to customers, equipment manufacturers, and engineering leads.

  • Gaming PC is in the living room for gaming and media center.

Laptop in my office up stairs for programming and I use Steam Remote Play for games that require keybmouse. Its nice because I can just unplug it from my dock and head downstairs with it if I want to browse on the couch.

I have a tablet too, but that’s used solely for movies, YouTube, or when I’m DMing because the footprint is smaller.

I was part of the Initial YouTube Premium (YouTube Red anyone?) So I havent had to see ads on any of my family devices in YEARS. Back when Google Play Music was included with it. Such a freaking bargin back then, bailed on Spotify immediately.

I realize that that stupid little choice has changed the way I consumed content. I don’t watch traditional media nearly at all anymore. Same for my siblings and cousins who’re on my family plan. I also like the fact it more directly supports the creators I come back to week after week.

The price increases have been a lot, and I’m fortunate to be able to pay for it. As my sole streaming platform I pay for, I find its worth the value. That DOESNT mean I agree with the scummy policies they’ve been implementing. It just sucks that with my conintued payment it sort of reflects the idea I am.
