4·9 months agoI read about the heat issues and thought it was baloney until my phone randomly started to heat up big time the other day while just browsing the web to read articles and use Voyager (my lemmy app). I ended up locking the screen and putting it down to cool down. It hasn’t happened since, but I do hope they figure it out because that was crazy weird!
Been a Spigen fan for about 5-6 years now. Honestly, I have the liquid crystal clear case, along with the EZ fit tempered glass, on my 14 and have dropped a couple of times without any damage.
1·10 months agoRight, but they won’t pay. Eventually, it’s impossible to run servers or pay anyone. So it’ll die if there’s no advertisers and just bad actors and bots.
Good. When all they have left is bots and advertisers figure out that’s all their clicks are and then decide to abandon the platform entirely, then X will be done.

And that 3-5 years experience is needed in technology that came out 1.5 years ago!

As someone that has a kid, I do hate what we’re doing to this planet and worry so much about what he and others in the future will have to put up with.
I’m not really sure what your answer was trying to get at here. Did you think I’m some MAGA nut trying to downplay climate change? I’m not.
I was honestly trying to see if analysis has been done and whether one of these issues was the better to go after solving first, or not, due to overall positive impact of reversal.

I am not downplaying climate change here, but how much of tilting the earth’s axis affects the weather (fronts, storms, etc) and what we’re seeing with climates? Could this be a bigger deal then human consumption and CO2?
Once again, not saying give up on other efforts. We know things change with the moon and rotating around the sun, so what are the repercussions here compared to CO2 and other man made factors? Is one a bigger impact than the other and is one easier to solve for?
The article doesn’t give these specifics, but it does say how much we’re shifting yearly which seems significant.
And the person we’re responding here to also uses an example of language that evolved to what it is over a 300 year period FROM changes that happened between language barriers - Central American natives to Spanish to English (of which there are 2 variations).
The hard G or soft are pronounceable by the majority of the world. It’s not really a language barrier or change - it’s just inability to admit that maybe they were wrong in how they read it in their head and make the verbal change when evidence is provided.
With that said, they can continue to pronounce it with a hard g but it’s just being obstinate at this point.

As I replied to someone else, that is very interesting.
My thoughts: It does seem extremely limited for its advantage though. The electric mode is basically a stealth option, but once they fire or do anything else then should be findable and that electric mode probably won’t last THAT long if they were being hunted actively.

What advantages? If memory serves correctly, they’d need a captain with a penis tattoo that says “welcome aboard” and a radar guy who can imitate whales. I’m not sure that’s so common.
