I highly recommend list-inhibitors. Not sure if this is the one I mean, the command line seems to match to the one I use: https://pypi.org/project/list-session-inhibitors/
This command gives a way nicer output.
For me Firefox often prevents the system from going to idle. If some page has a video it often seems to inhibit going to idle. Firefox strangely does that even if the video is paused.
For me and Firefox I’m often intend to do something about it. And then I don’t for various reasons 😂

It’s been that way for much longer than a few years unfortunately. I don’t understand how people can tolerate it. Some projects switched to it because it seemed more beginner friendly than IRC, but to me it’s not focussed on making things easy.

They take up way less space than what’s allocated for cars. But because it appears different you’ll not notice that the car parking takes away so much space that could be allocated to e.g. a wider sidewalk, dedicated bike lines, more green, or parking for more space efficient methods of transport such as rental scooters.

I’m on team Sync
It’s just one developer. I don’t understand why the entire discussion people pretend you are either fully for FOSS else you’re completely against proprietary software. It isn’t black and white.
Sync is the only one to actually give a smooth experience. The rest have loads of usability issues. I haven’t used Summit yet though. I thought I tried all of the various clients by now.

The Sync developer doesn’t work on it fulltime. He worked on it for maybe a few months, then at least a year of hardly any update.

That’s ultra, it’s not similar to what Pro was. Sync Pro was like 4 EUR. It removed the ads. Option to remove ads now is 22 EUR. A huge price increase. Ultra was 36 or so, now 100+. Again a huge price increase.

Without any history Google often shows pretty extreme videos, so in my experience the lack of any history is not good.
I have a black pen that can write on plastic. I’ve used that to dim the insanely bright LED on a smoke detector. If you are careful (I wasn’t) then this method looks nicer than putting some tape on a device.
Sometimes there’s a hidden menu. It’s usually called hotel mode and/or service mode. It’s usually easily findable on Google. That mode is also great to e.g. limit the max volume. There could be multiple modes btw. Maybe the LED setting is part of those modes?
So instead of accepting that the driver should be GPL and part of the kernel, you turn things around and pretend the development of the kernel is the way that it is because of a conspiracy against Nvidia?
