Not saying no one had ever had this happen to them in the history of mankind. But this is also an old dirty joke that is probably more commonly repeated than acted out.

It’s fine to have that opinion, but I wholeheartedly disagree. Often the thing you love about a show is the story and the characters and the world. When a good show ends, you often want more. More story, more of that world, more of that universe, more of those characters, etc.

The only thing worse than a bad story is a really, really good story that ends way too quickly. It’s like having one bite of a really good meal. I mean that bite was amazing, but fuck you for showing me what I could have, and then not letting me have it. I’d have preferred not having that bite in the first place.

Standard presidential strategy (pre-trump) is to “run to the center” once the primaries are over. Yes this is disappointing, but I’ll judge her by her actions. She also didn’t attend Netanyahu’s speech, but that could just as easily have been travel logistics or it could have been a snub to Netanyahu who is courting Trump and the R’s.

She’s not my favorite candidate, but she’s miles better than Biden, and Biden’s a light-year better than Trump.

This comment is the equivalent of trying to have a real conversation with someone and they start singing a commercial jingle.

That’s an interesting read, but I think it misses a point of where that 25% GDP is really coming from. The US makes 25% of the GDP because they outsource. To use other country’s labor, other countries people, other other people’s brains, and they take a huge chunk of profit from it. They then claim that’s their GDP.

America is a very efficient country, with a lot of skilled workers creating a lot of cool products and stuff, but it’s not 5x other countries. The only way to get those numbers is by leveraging the work of other people and claiming it for yourself.

The hardest jobs I’ve ever worked were the ones that paid the worst. As I’ve gone through my career, I keep getting paid more and the work gets easier. Now “easier” is really “easier for me” because I have the skill and experience I didn’t have in the past, but there is no real correlation between getting paid the most and working the hardest across job functions. That’s a nice lie so people making less money can explain why those other people are making sooo much more than they are, and those that are making more money can feel good about themselves.

I guess I’ve been lucky enough to work at companies where the CEO worked hard and provided significant benefit to the company. Of course, working hard for a CEO is different than for people lower. Going to dinner with customers, schmoozing with other CEOs, and getting updates from managers, etc. are all important CEO tasks. In every company I’ve worked at in the past 25 years, the CEO puts in more than 40 hours a week, but that 40 hours may be travel or going to nice dinners, etc. I’ve also seen them provide good leadership, good direction, and have been relatively good people. “Relatively good”. Maybe I’ve just been lucky.

The idea that if you’re still living at home that your parents are still taking care of you. That they still make your food, do you laundry, pay your bills, etc. there is also a stereotype that you’re emotionally stunted since you haven’t moved out and had to take care of yourself. This is often summarized in the neck beard living in his parents basement meme.

I’m not saying this is true, but that’s the idea.

Windows search sucks balls so hard it boggles the mind how it can suck so bad. It’s like they created the search bar for Windows XP and haven’t updated it since. How can a company with so many smart people create something that shitty and never fix it?

So anyway, if I’m missing the toggle for “make windows search not suck”, please fill me in.

So I’m curious, how did you end up? Is there anything in your adult life that indicates your capabilities are above average?

Problem is there’s a catch 22. If you’re not lucid enough to answer those questions, you’re not lucid enough side whether you live or die from a legal standpoint.

Every law I know that allows euthanasia requires that the person have a terminal illness and enough mental faculties to make the decision. You run the risk of a loved one getting tried for murder if you ask them to give you the drugs and you are not competent to make the decision yourself.

Keep in mind that you two also aren’t used to telling each other apart. You’re perspective is always from the inside and the other is just the other. Your parents or other siblings would probably be much better at differentiating between you two. (I would assume.)
