When is that going to happen? I would be very happy to have you back in the club 😊

I once worked with a guy that said he prefers candidates that went to college and got a degree, because it shows endurance and a basic level of competence.
I was thinking the same, this looks well organized compared to how my wife does it, she even puts silverware on the top rack instead of in that little basket, or glasses drink side up (instead of upside down). I have talked to her about it so many times but she is incapable of doing a better job somehow (and she’s a smart, thats what really irritates me).
Is your wife also incapable of seperating trash?
No problem the chemicals and heat will fix that
I’m used to K&R so no real need to switch, also my IDE by default formats in that style. Allman also looks fine, most of the others just seem to make code less readable.
Exactly he’s not a full pilot but he’ll probably know a lot more than me about flying. I would just let the autopilot fly and land.
I think it was 17:18 when the door lock finally opened. The very first time estimate said it should be ready at 16:10. So it was definitely a big lie.
Yeah I should have known, started the thing at 12:26 (actually know this because I called my wife to check if we had 3 hours and 38 minutes before we needed to go), its 17:18 and I just got the door open…
Just like a human it really depends on what you feed your AI as training data.
They are so many good kind of AI written books nowdays
To be fair I’ve got a wallet from AliExpress that still works fine after 5 years. Unfortunately quality and price are not the same thing. Sometimes expensive stuff is made as cheaply as possible. As a consumer it’s not always that easy to know when you are fooled.
Also it’s not really true anymore that a good brand is still good. Lots of good brands decided to produce inferior products for higher profits. I think it’s probably because a brand is bought by some investment firm that wants to maximize profits.
I don’t think it’s immense privilege. Like when Zuckerberg started Facebook he was 19. When I was 19 I lived with my parents and had almost no costs. I also just partied and didn’t even try to start anything.
Yeah cloves and bay leaves are pretty common in old recipes. For example check out
https://blogs.transparent.com/dutch/recipe-the-oldest-dish-in-the-netherlands/
That recipe should come out like this https://miljuschka.nl/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Frietje-zuurvlees-Daphne-Dekkers.jpg
In Dutch we have werknemer and werkgever.
Werknemer takes work (person with a job)
Werkgever gives work (company hiring people)
The sad thing is that foxit used to be the great alternative, back in the day.
I was obviously joking, as people on Reddit sometimes can be like that for now reason (maybe just to pretend to be smarter or something).
Yes just saying it’s only luck is just wrong.
Even the rich (not the super billionaire rich), yes they had luck but there is definitely more. Like I work as a freelancer in software development. Lots of people I have worked with are smarter and more talented than I am, but I still make more money. Because they never took the risk of going freelance and keep working for a company that takes halve the money a client pays.
Some people just don’t like to take risks
These super rich people usually took big risks, worked for almost free for a while until it started to pay off. Of course for every billionaire there a 1000s of people that took the same risk and completely failed.
Before Lemmy I was on Reddit for many years so I know exactly how to help.
Your hobbies suck and you don’t know shit 😉
Maybe but that would also mean people from let’s say Poland can live and work in the UK right? I thought that was one of the bigger Brexit points.
