Yeah. Part of what I get for paying is the Bridge app so I can use Thunderbird instead of the website. I don’t want or need the LLM thing.
Exactly. archinstall is pretty nice, and if you want the frustration of dealing with random errors, it’s still there. But it’s straightforward (but keep the docs handy since you’ll likely need them).
I just use DeArrow so I don’t know what the original thumbnails are. Thank God.
About 100-200
Yeah there’s only so many actually open-ended questions you can ask without being repetitive, while also on relatively limited users.
Yeah. My sister uses Linux, and I’ve taught her basic commands to just make things easier (apt install, cd, ls, that sorta thing). And she knows how to find a decent website for support and copy the commands, which are usually fine.
No mention of Thunderbird yet??
Oh no. That fits the bill perfectly lol.
I never know how to answer this. I grew up till middle school in Canada and the rest of my school in India. I rarely get dentist with many Indian traditions, but I also didn’t spend enough time in Canada to be a “real” Canadian.
I just flip a coin in my head and answer each time. And then get the follow-up asking where my parents are from. Just ask my race, you coward.
It’s not really editing, but I like being able to make the most basic edits on the go. Cropping a video, maybe adding a text bubble. iMovie is sufficient for my use case.
Without a good export feature, this is completely useless. I don’t want my journal to be another reason to be locked in to Apple’s ecosystem.
Curiosity, followed by realizing how good it is for development.
It’s more about getting the portafilter hot too.
As for the on button, I use a SwitchBot Bot.
I have a Roomba j7+ and I love it. I also have a Braava Jet M6, so mopping is taken care of too. The mopping is slow, but it’s quiet and it’s not like I have to wait for it.
Can you recommend a good VPS service? I’ve been meaning to get a Synology, but it’s out of my budget for now.
Interesting. Sounds like DevOps folks would love it. Maybe I’ll look into it more. Thanks!
Computer Science! My work is on applied machine learning for software analytics.
Can someone tell me the recent hype about immutable distros? What exactly is the immutable part, and why is it attractive?
If you’re going to post a code example, at least check that it works. Here’s your example, with no type hints, giving me errors both from the LSP, and when trying to run via mypy: https://imgur.com/a/Hq5Y5Gt.
