$30M for 6.4M people - so minus legal fees they can expect about two dollars each? I thought these damages were supposed to be punitive?
Same, and also with experience in the construction business, so my first thought was that 220k per door for apartments is quite reasonable. I wouldn’t fret about it at all, because in the grand scheme of things this is chump change. Just say you’re getting into real estate investing with a business partner.
Thanks for this, I gave it a shot but all I find it a bunch of timeshift files. I’m also not sure where to search that I haven’t already looked at.
What’s the value-add over just buying a SFF PC?
Then how do you explain the continued success of Mint?
That’s a ligature, it’s deliberate.
I’m not a fan of the way the lowercase L’s tail interacts with uppercase letters, but other than that it’s not bad!
It uses Lua instead Vimscript, but what is the benefit of using Lua outside of Vim?

Very good article, but it would have benefited from a few historical references, because none of this is new. The insularity and navel-gazing of royal and imperial courts, for example, are legendary — with their own customs, shibboleths, and of course everyone within believing they have the answers, despite being totally dsconnected form the “real world”.
Conservatism is fundamentally tied to a lack of empathy for people beyond one’s immediate circle, and creativity in large part is fueled by the ability to imagine other people’s experiences, i.e., empathy. It’s likely why there are so few conservative artists, and when they do exist, they tend to focus on literal/realistic or derivative art.
Do you mean from a historical standpoint? It depends on the culture, but it’s pretty recent in its current iteration — in the west, it followed the rise of Christianity. For much of western history at least, it was considered OK to pitch, within reason (manly!) but not to catch (effeminate!). Warring states China was pretty similar. I’m less familiar with India but in any case that would have been suppressed by the Mughals.
That is brilliantly simple. Certainly better than using collector limpets.
And Solaris just above it. Has to be a joke.
