I’m on db0 and we have lots of subs aren’t on .world. So it possible but you are right in general.
Based, as the youngsters says.
Communists? Really? There is quite a gap between being leftist (which in itself is a term that generalizes multiple ideological position and political views. Look to my home country Denmark and see how many left leaning parties exists. None of them are Communists btw). Sorry if this comes off as arrogant, but are you from the US? I ask because I often see US citizen use this overgeneralization and seem lack knowledge on the difference between e.g. socialism and communism.
LocalSend is amazing. So easy to use! Impressed that google haven’t been able to make a product as simple as localsend for Android.
I have the same experience as the author you just replied to. While some of what you are saying is true, I have never had everyday issues like these on windows. I switch to Linux once a year to change things up. Mint, arch, Debian… A few major issues I experience
These are essentials, not something I can simply learn to live with or fix on the fly.
Would love to switch! I can get through work without proprietary software so that’s not the issue.
Maybe for people who are not interested in smartphones? Could also be an educational project if you want to dive into embedded systems. You’ll also save battery on your phone.

Bitching and moaning so a little to strong. Sorry :)
Just check the top 25 hot posts on here. None of them have anything to do with linux.
Then contact the moderators/admins and start a discussion on the issue. I don’t sub to Windows communities but surely rules could be put into place to avoid?
I just hate this bitching and moaning yet no action is taken. If you want to change things, start change yourself 🤞
You could be the fourth but I guess not?
Then start a community or post other comments. Maybe even block communities that you don’t like e.g. the linux subs or whatever. No one is shoving it down your throat.
Yeh and apparently Lemmy folks down votes legit bad experiences with gnu/Linux. If you think the user is the problem here, this community seriously have a problem if thet want gnu/Linux to be mainstream.
Installs mint. Connects to wifi at work. Prompted with a window that wants me to specify certificate versions or whatever. No clue about what any of it means and never get to connect. Uninstalled and back to Windows. Mint so easy to use /s 👍
Probably not though. Common people don’t understand Internet. Nor does politicians or journalists. What else is on Twitter? Advertisements?
Well, only way to solve this is by having people here who aren’t idiots (whatever that means to you) to participate and make things better. But this is too hard for most people, I guess.
Sorry for the confusion regarding socialist and social democracies. Will have to look more into the difference between the two. Thanks for clearing that up.
