  • Sometimes. I have a hard time when to prioritise my own needs against other people’s, so I wind up vacillating between very meek and belligerent kinda randomly. Especially when it comes to social needs (e.g. if it feels like someone else is dominating a conversation with their topic of interest, and I have something I wanted to say about something 3 minutes ago but the person hasn’t stopped talking, idk what do).

  • Nothing suggesting the primacy of metaphysical stuff, but in the same way its fine to talk about the soul of a nation, it’s fine to talk about my soul. I don’t think its magic, I just think there’s a connection with the rest of the universe and other conscious people that is healthy to cultivate, and the effects I have on those relationships will continue after I die (likewise, other people’s relationships have affected my life even after they’ve died). I don’t think there’s any reward of doing so outside of the health of those relationships. I do think certain behaviours and beliefs are poisonous to this “soul”, but we can also talk about mental health and how we should be emphasising community etc.

But it’s all just physical stuff in the end, and if a meteor hit Earth tomorrow and scattered our material there isn’t anything left over like a bunch of angry ghosts floating around. Not even anyone to mourn what could have been.

Also PIMDAS (we had this conversation in my class this semester as we had a very wide range of ages and regions present in the class) (I is for indices) (I don’t remember what the Colombian students said, for some reason we had a group of 3 Colombians in our class of 12 nowhere near Colombia)

That said, the question is ambiguously written. Maybe the popularity of this will result in calculators being more consistent with how they interpret implicit multiplication signs.

(my preference is to show two lines, one with the numerator and one with the divisor)
