Just installed. Looks great. Thank you.

That’s my understanding. It’s a long time ago but I believe they bought out Sun when they were facing bankruptcy.
If they’d released the x86 version of Solaris when it became clear that SPARC couldn’t keep up with Intel and AMD that could have been a possibility.
Solaris was such an amazing OS.
Our small company paid a prominent (of that specific driver) open source driver writer for prioritisation of some work more than once. All the code was GPL.
I know it’s only one data point but it’s one way.
Some days, I even think maybe I might be a good person too
You sound like a good person to me. That level of self reflection rarely / never leads to being a shithead in my experience.
Crazy story but a very interesting read. Thanks for sharing.
It depends. I have a ritual of watching a Star Trek series start to finish with my kids when they’re around 10-12. Currently watching Voyager season 5 with my 10 year old and we do savour that intro occasionally but not always. I’d say maybe one in five times we’ll watch it.
It’s a long intro at nearly two minutes but it’s such a good one. Great music, great graphics, super setting.
he claims his mouth can’t be numbed
This is a thing. My wife has to get lots of extra shots of the gum numbing stuff. Her first dentist as a kid didn’t believe her that she could still feel and it caused her huge trauma.
Oh nice. Thank you. Installed.
My wife and one of my kids is a lefty. I’ve kinda grown used to half looking out for it in others but only idly. It was fun watching each of the kids to see if any of them would be.
A friend of mine dropped an absolute bomb one day that I’ll never forget: “There’s only right handed and wrong handed”. Definitely more than 20 years ago now but I never forgot it because I laughed so hard.
Western China too. I flew over it and it’s like an endless mountainous wasteland.
Australia has mandatory voting which is an interesting one. Quick search tells me the last turnout was nearly 90%.
I remember when that video came out and I was truly impressed at watching good regulations in action.
Luv me some EU I does. 🇪🇺
Same. I met a German girl at a hostel in Los Angeles once when I was young and her English was so perfect and her accent so thoroughly American that she had to show me her passport for me to believe she was German.
It was all fun. I had kinda forgotten about that little incident until this thread. :)
I appreciate the effort so thank you. That’s not the one I saw but the idea is very similar.
The one I saw was much larger and involved ladders but this definitely gets the idea across.
Edit: just watched that video through. Can’t sleep here and that’s pushing me into “get up for snack” territory. Looks delicious.
I saw a video a while back about a charity in India and they had this custom… Structure within a building I suppose you’d call it… Where the sikh folks were cooking up an absolutely gargantuan amount of food. Huge fire had to be lit underneath it. The food pit looked around five meters / 15ft across.
The amounts of everything that went in are somewhat similar to what you’re reading in that recipe.
I’m trying to figure out a way to dig it out of the internet because it was a fascinating watch. If I manage it I’ll be back. Maybe someone else has seen the video I’m describing and will know where to look.
The segfault at the end was perfection.
My fear now is that if military leadership falls into the wrong hands
Rome intensifies
Magnificent. I have hum off and beeps off and love it.
Oh shit. My home is underwater. :(
Compress those suckers!
