10·1 year agoWhen I was younger, I had really only experienced console games and maybe a few basic PC games at school. My uncle showed my this FPS game on his computer called Redneck Rampage. Basically you’re running around farms trying to kill aliens. I don’t really remember playing very many FPS game before that and it opened up a whole new world for me. But the really crazy part was how “adult” the game was. You could drink beer in the game and your character would get drunk. I also remember some graffiti in the game of a naked woman with huge tits. At the time I could not believe something like that would be allowed in a video game! Blew my mind.
My phone (Pixel 7) does not have one. On occasion I use a pair of wired USB-C headphones but only for media. I do not use headphones for calls. Bluetooth in the car for calls and YouTube Music.
Is this a first time occurrence? Has there ever been any other indication of your dad’s discomfort around people wearing backpacks? There might be some history here that you’re not aware of. Some past bad experience he had. A kind of PTSD.
7·1 year agoThis is correct. Alphabetical Order is one of the fundamental laws of nature. A universal constant.
If the mug shot is a nice cold bottle of water, his conviction is going to feel like that scene from Flashdance. My body is ready.
Where I live, people give zero fucks about which direction the spaces are aligned. Even with giant arrows painted on the lanes, they will drive down the wrong way every damn time. I will stop my car and wait for their dumb asses to back up the way they came before I move. I could honestly care less which way you go into a parking spot, but driving the wrong way on one way lanes drives me insane.
Those definitely come in handy!
A good pocket knife or multi-tool like a Letherman or Gerber. I always have a pocket knife on me and a multi-tool in my car. Either one gets used pretty much daily.

3·1 year agoI just noticed some other comments mentioning that and didn’t realize there was a different one-time fee to remove ads. I only initially saw the “ultra” subscription options. You’re right though, $20 is a bit high but not too far off. I would pay $10 if I was sure this was the app for me. It’s honestly a nice looking app. I never used Sync for Reddit. My favorite was always Relay.
Everyone is getting bent out of shape. Just use whatever app you like best. I have 5 apps installed that I’m testing including Sync.
That being said, my 2 cents regarding Sync: I don’t mind paying for a great app like Sync, but I’m not crazy about subscription models. I know there is a one time option but $100 for a mobile app is beyond nuts.
EDIT: $100 is for the lifetime “ultra” plan. It’s $20 to remove ads.

I think about that often and try to be a generally helpful and kind person to anyone in need. I guess that’s a mantra that I swear by.

Well I guess not everyone is going to like every episode, or every show for that matter and that’s ok. I can’t stand Discovery. I gave up somewhere in season 2. Just couldn’t take it anymore.
So many people were ragging on this idea. I think the episode firmly shut them up. This was top notch Trek! Fantastic from start to finish. I want more! Now they’re complaining about the upcoming musical episode? Haters gonna hate I guess.
For real! Like, how can you be a Trek fan and not like SNW?? It’s fantastic!
It really was perfectly done. I loved every minute of it.

If I’m on my computer, I use Push Bullet. It sends the link directly to my phone but I can also go back to the Push Bullet app anytime and find it. If I’m on my phone, I just keep that tab open on Chrome until I read it.
