I’m not buying a bunch of paper books and creating unnecessary waste just to make sure the author gets paid. I guess I could donate them but then the author loses sales that way. I’m certainly not rewarding the use of DRM by paying for it.

I should have specified I was talking about ebooks. That’s on me.
I buy DRM free books off humble bundle. Even if I already have previously downloaded them. I will not give money to anything with DRM on it if I don’t have to. These authors aren’t getting money from me because they don’t offer a product I want (DRM free books). Other sources do have this product so they can blame themselves or their publisher for losing sales.
I own the 1000s of ebooks I’ve downloaded to my personal media server.
Getting to suicidey I imagine.
I haven’t experienced them those but the pull down shades I’ve used in the past have thing where you can twist the rod to set the tension and make them work better. Does it have something like that you can do? Also I agree with you about just using curtains
Everyone I know who’s gotten on a plane in the last 2 years has come back with covid. Without exception.
I just want to see what happens when a bullet train hits a moose.
I have to leave extra early during the school year because if I don’t it takes like 5-10 minutes just to get through the section of the neighborhood that has the bus stop (which is in the middle of the neighborhood for some reason instead of by the entrance where it would make sense) because both sides of the street are lined with parents waiting on the bus in their cars and the street is only wide enough for one car to pass through at a time. They sit there and wait longer than it would take to just drive their kid to the fucking school.
That was my first thought when I saw it. “That’s something my dad would do to get past an inspection”.
That show would be boring.
IDK about that. I have messages just vanish from my conversation history in Teams all the time. I’ll go back and try to reference something I sent somebody a month ago and parts of the conversation are just gone. I don’t have that problem with email I can pull up stuff from a decade ago if I need to.
I go top down but I’ve also been known to reuse towels for more than one day so … yea.
If I need to sleep I take a half dose of Nyquil. That shit knocks me out. And nice side benefit of clearing my sinuses for a few days.
I’m past thirty and I learned to ve comfortable alone a long time ago. For me to get married or even just start a relationship with someone they’d have to drastically improve my life. It’s very unlikely some random assigned by the government is going to do that.
They don’t allow privacy fences. Only shitty metal picket fences you can see through. Can’t go outside without everyone on the street all up in your business and everyone’s fucking dogs are constantly barking at each other and getting loose because their fence isn’t tall enough to keep them from jumping it.
I use WSL for cli stuff and I have Mint running in a VM for desktop stuff. I briefly tried dual booting but it was a pain in the ass and I ended up rarely switching to the Linux partition in practice.
I just want a god damn little single cab S10 style truck with a full size bed. I don’t need passenger space, I don’t need crazy ground clearance, I don’t need huge tires. I need room for furniture and lumber that my 5’3 ass can get in and out of without having to climb. Bonus points if it’s electric. And no a Maverick is not just as good.
My job involves going out to sites to install equipment sometimes. This means as long as I’m walking out with a box in my hand I can leave whenever I want. My boss doesn’t care where I am as long as things get done.
IDK, my housemates printer required literally 0 setup to work with my linux VM and I’ve never had an issue. When I print from windows it’s a pain in the butt sometimes.
