Tech lover, nazi hater.
Truth. I’ve worked in one that provided mirrors to remind you to smile.
I had one too. I enjoyed the car even though it was a bit difficult finding parking in NYC for something that big.
Back when I smoked I would have a beer and a cig.
Capybaras seem to do everything in a relaxed way. Chill in the water. Bask in the sun. Eat something green.
“Source: LendingTree analysis of QuoteWizard by LendingTree insurance quote data from Nov. 14, 2022, through Nov. 14, 2023.”
QuoteWizard is LendingTree’s product to compare insurance rates between different companies. Basically, their way to insert themselves in the process to gather people’s info.
Accident rate quote: “Tesla drivers have the highest accident rate. From Nov. 14, 2022, through Nov. 14, 2023, Tesla drivers had 23.54 accidents per 1,000 drivers. Ram (22.76) and Subaru (20.90) were the only other brands with more than 20.00 accidents per 1,000 drivers. Meanwhile, Pontiac (8.41), Mercury (8.96) and Saturn (9.13) were the only brands with fewer than 10.00 accidents per 1,000 drivers.”
Subaru is likely high due to the Impreza WRX and the WRX STI models which are rockets.
Interesting to see the lowest accident rates are seen in three marquees that no longer exist; Pontiac, Mercury, and Saturn.
cross-post. most of the comments are in this post - https://lemm.ee/post/18442907
Since the author liked the Corolla may as well add the Celica and Geo/Chevy Prizm (North America only?).
Is that the S14 engine? (checked wikipedia)
What does “is” signify?
No idea but I will blame the differences on this being an article from the UK.
There are a few out but I can still see. The light on the radio annoys me because it is out entirely and I haven’t gotten around to replacing the radio yet.
The US laws prefer large vehicles.
Look into the 25% import tax on small work trucks- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_tax
Also, larger SUVs and trucks get preferential treatment under gas mileage standards. Someone more familiar can explain better.
FYI - my daily is a 24 year old Subaru.
I agree 100%. I wasn’t happy when Edd China left due to format changes but the show still worked for me. As a lover of older vehicles I enjoyed seeing Brewer work with mom and pop shops to get bits for cars that some people would scrap.
edit - Today I went to a scrap yard hoping to score some fog lights for my 99 Subaru Legacy (incredibly rare for my model). Some one already got them but I still picked up some plastic trim pieces.
Follow up - the fog lights were gone but I snagged a few other bits.
Going to get the belt from AutoZone. Rockauto is slightly cheaper but shipping costs kill the deal. I also try to shop whenever possible to help my city and county.
They are hard to find because the people with problematic 2.5L engines swap the 2.2L in. Cheaper to swap then have the gaskets done at a shop.
I’m subscribed already!
I had Buddy Cub P1 wheels on my Honda EG Civic hatch when it was stolen over 10 years ago. Yes, I am still upset. There were many other parts on the car. It was found later with all the good stuff missing.
Fastmail here as well. I don’t need super privacy. The phone app is great. Was easy to setup my personal domain.
I didn’t realize this was European specific when I posted. Personally I like JDM stuff more.
Where you circumcized after you became sexually active?
If not, how would you know there is no loss?
