Yeah I don’t really care to play with strangers and none of my friends have ever asked to play so I also stick to single player games when I do play.
That’s definitely what I’ve observed. The constant whining gets pretty grating, wish they would finally just form their own instances and defederate from whoever the hell they want. Instead they sit around in the largest most entry-level instance and badmouth and whine at the mods to cut off any instance where the majority view is to the left of and critical of the status quo.
That’s not how I read it… it’s not really democracy if the guy being voted for is lying to the voters without repercussion (thus obstructing the voters’ right to make an informed decision) so they can get into office and do things they know the voters wouldn’t have voted for. That’s anti-democratic in itself. This meme isn’t saying democracy bad, it’s saying that what we have now isn’t a democracy.
This word has lost all meaning at this point.
Also the fact that the vast majority of our remaining rails are owned by private freight companies that get to make up silly rules like passenger trains having to pull over for ridiculously long and slow freight trains to pass them.
As a non gamer this completely ruined the game for me ngl. I couldn’t explore caves or hang out at night outside of peaceful mode anymore, lest I get my shit rocked by a skeleton armed with what may as well have been hollow point heat seeking arrows.
Whichever update changed the combat mechanics was the end for me.
ew why is this one edited like that
I have no scientific basis to back this up but this reads like how a large part of the conversation around “Volatile Organic Compounds” or, put more simply, “smelly things” comes across to me.
congratulations, you might be dyslexic 👍
Im annoyed at using a screenshot of a tiktok at all rather than just looking up a picture of her in the suit
Yeah sugar and sweeteners don’t bother me (although you might want to make sure that isn’t a lactose allergy or intolerance because I’ve been there too 😅) but I specifically called out black coffee to mean that like energy drinks for example don’t make me feel that way despite having around 4x as much caffeine on average. On the other hand, any drink that is more coffee than any other additive will make me jittery and anxious. So I’m not sure if it’s specifically the caffeine that does it for me or some other component of coffee.
Caffeine, specifically black coffee, makes me feel like my life is falling down around me whenever I drink it with any amount of regularity. Anecdotal of course but I imagine if it has such a profound effect for me that it probably has the same effect for others even if it’s more subtle.
Though to be fair I only noticed this after I was prescribed an actual stimulant medication that for me has way fewer side effects, which significantly reduced my caffeine consumption. So now it’s more of a shock to my system.
Yes but it wouldn’t short because the current from one terminal would not travel across the plastic handle to the other
Hate to nitpick but that’s not quite the formula
“A Lemmy user complained about a youtuber’s video title formula. This is what happened to their brain.”
…because delta knows that if they didn’t have that pay then they would unionize and probably be able to negotiate something as good if not better (edit: better than what they want to offer down the road. They beat the union rates so they can point at it and say “I told you so!”, discouraging a would-be unionized workforce now so they don’t have to negotiate with a union later and can get away with the sort of underhanded shit that a strong union would be able to stand up against, including but not limited to lower wages and poor working conditions.)
Just because there isn’t currently a union doesn’t mean a corporation like that isn’t kept in check by both the realized and potential presence of unions in their industry…
Gaslighting, obstructing, and projecting like a pro I see!
I mean it’s an honest title and chubbyemu even goes to the extent to explain the medical reasons as to how it happened why the average person doesn’t need to worry. When that’s not the case, his videos are cautionary tales meant to inform the public of the medical consequences of behavior they might not otherwise think all the way through. I honestly one of the few cases that gets a legit pass, and it should be standard for click bait like this to be accompanied by the disclaimers and medical background he includes in his videos.
Huh? Quick search shows that Oliver Tree is 30 years old, so birth year ~1994 or so. The jazz design came out in 1992 and was widely available through the early 2000s, by solo cup after they purchased it from sweetheart cup in 2004… I really don’t see how he shouldn’t know where the design came from, but regardless it’s become a pop culture/nostalgia symbol because it’s just a good, widely recognizable design. What else does he need to know?
