TIL Vids is a really well maintained instance. It is not federated, and not everyone is allowed to upload just like that. Go to their Matrix channel for more information and discussions.

I highly recommend using PeerTube instead of YouTube.
For voice, I recommend using something Ardour or LMMS to mask your real voice with some filters.
I recommend using WebM container with VP9 codec instead of GIF if you are exporting it for web. It even supports alpha.
I have written a small blog post about how to Bypass CGNAT, and have also mentioned why you should not use Cloudflare if you are hosting for privacy.

Handbrake is great. But I would also recommend using Kdenlive. It is a video editor but if you just open your video in it and just export the project, you will get some good output format options.

This is the first app I’ve ever made, so, I don’t know what exactly the reason is for that. However, I think this is because I made it with Flutter instead of something lower lever like Java.
I started with YouTube (via Invidious), and then it was just hunting for “how do I add this thing in Flutter” on search engines and forums.
Thank you for these suggestions! I’ll be working on sync or import/export, right after I fix the UI. Making the items editable is another thing I need to add.
That is correct, but I’ll need either a Macintosh machine, or a VM to compile the app. Then, I’ll have to pay a fee to Apple to publish this on their App Store. I haven’t even made a .deb package, as of now, because I use Fedora and am too lazy to spin up a VM.
But if I get to implement everything I have in mind, for this app, I’ll surely release it on every platform possible.
Is there a FOSS alternative to this site?
My 50" TV. I use it everyday, but I could have invested the money in a berrer place. Like mutual funds, or buying new hardware for my homeserver.
Try again later. Or try finding some other instance.
Roundcube is a webmail. NC is much more than that. It is not even an alternative, let alone a better one.
This one works.
AFAIK, Piped always proxies the videos through a server.
I am more familiar with Invidious. Find an Invidious server that lets you enable proxying. Some examples are yewtu.be, invidious.protokolla.fi and inv.nadeko.net. Then find an RSS app that lets you download the content, as well as supports cookies. Use the invidious server’s cookies in your RSS app to proxy the content you download. Invidious servers can provide RSS feeds for individual channels, as well as your complete subscription feed.
And if possible donate a dollar or two, regularly, to the invidious server that you use, since it takes up a lot of bandwidth and motivates the hoster to keep up what they are doing.
Thanks! But I am not much of a gamer.
Half of me wants to upvote this. Half of me wants to downvote this.
I use Fedora Server with Podman (instead of Docker). I am not a noob either, but cockpit provides a really useful GUI for managing the whole operating system.
