Distrotube hits hard. I remember the video showing everyone his collection of increasingly larger guns was the checkout moment for me. Even saying one of them was great for kids. As a non American maybe I just don’t get it.

Gross. I heard he lost a hell of a lot of money on crypto and hookers, so that checks out.
Boogie2988. I thought he seemed like a reasonable, unbiased person when I was watching around 2016. Kind of just moved on with my life after realising he was just following YouTube drama.
Have checked him out in the last year or so and it’s not looking good for him. The really sad thing is that he could have just taken his money and lived a chill life, but he seems to want a spotlight and to feel important even if it’s because people are shaming him for being a washed up b list youtuber.
It’s hard to get an apprenticeship to become one in Australia after your mid twenties. I’ve heard it’s because your pay has to be a fair bit higher than the kids just out of school, so they’d rather train a teenager.
Can second the comment about tutorials. It’s amazing how your very very specific problem has a great tutorial, with the worst possible audio, that is perfectly solved by some random dude in his bedroom in India.

Agreed, it’s not perfect. Never mucked around with them myself, as 60 has been fine enough.
I’m in the camp that 60fps is still acceptable. With the Steam deck I think I’ve even moved to thinking that a stable 45 fps feels smooth enough. 120Hz is a bonus, but I think mods will give you unlocked framerate if the game comes to PC.
Bloodborne 60fps patch is on Silksong levels of hype in the souls community. Guaranteed sales FS.
I believe this is exactly what’s happening. Why would they just patch this in or release a mid-console cycle remaster when they can release a system-selling remake.
Why?
It’s closed source, so how can you really know what Apple are or are not doing? I don’t know if publicly available external audits are done on Apples software, but I doubt it.
Man, the idea of having a gun strapped to your hip while making a YouTube video is… interesting. On balance though, I’m in the same boat as you. Hardcore security focussed technology reaches diminishing returns and seems to exponentially decrease the user experience.
Certainly Mental Outlaw helped me get into using Linux and caring about my online privacy and security, so I’m thankful to him for that.
Isn’t that the sad truth. Not many system sellers on the PS5 as you would hope.
Yes he is pretty well. I still watch him because he is mostly interesting. I would say he is in the overly paranoid bucket when it comes to personal government surveillance. Pretty sure I heard him load a rifle in one of his videos talking about gun control recently. As an Australian, that was just bizarre to me.
I agree. If everyone knows what type of game we’re talking about, the term is appropriate. Hard agree on retro-FPS.
Great, I love that idea. My next run will either be an SL1 run or this. I do like the shenanigans that can result from a randomizers run quite a bit I have to say. Getting something OP early (potentially) without expecting it is a really fun idea
Thanks! Any builds that work better in randomizers than others, or is it just about being flexible on what you find early on?
Ah I haven’t heard of that one. Mods in ds1 are an avenue I haven’t explored yet, but the item and boss randomizers look really fun.
That’s a bummer, I still watch him from time to time but accept it as factual. Didn’t think I needed to fact check him.
