Lol no, AE86s are both fixed and pop up and these designation are used for different engine/chassis. The AE86 gets 1.6L 4A-GE, meanwhile AE85 gets the weaker 1.5L 3S-GE.

American-made Hyundais and Kias are of a different breed indeed, if Korean cars are as 1/10 as unreliable in my country Hyundai/Kia would have their public perception fell through the bottom lol.
Would anyone actually buy it though?
Sedans sale have declined massively in the US, to the point where enthusiast-ish offerings in the budget/mid-range sector are all but gone. And this is the US AKA car enthusiast heaven we’re talking about lol, there’s no way in hell Mazda can sell a RWD, inline-6 sedan outside of NA without incurring huge losses imo.
From what I’ve seen the internet loves to hate the 11th gen Accord, especially on subreddits like r/cars, r/Honda and a few other Accord subs.
Y’know, just a few months ago if you posted the same comment on r/Accord people would come in and reply shit like “Honda salesman detected 😭😭😭” or “are you 40”. And it gets worse if you actually own one and post it on the same sub, unfortunately.
In the city where I live? Coverage from rain or cold weather, plus some privacy…and not much else really. Traffic jams scare me away from seriously considering a car for daily commute if I’m being honest.
AU Falcon of course, there’s no other choice /s
I personally find the Up! GTI to be really cute (and sporty) with those GTI wheels. Not in a sarcastic way, really - it’s just a very good design overall.
I’ll assume that this is for the US market. So here I go: the Mitsubishi Mirage.
The Mirage is, well to be frank, very unrefined; but if you want a cheap (cheapest, even) basic transportation that’s reliable, fuel efficient, new, and has a warranty, it’s hard to beat the Mirage.
In my opinion though, you do need quite a bit of tolerance for bad NVH if you’re spoiled by luxury brand cars, since the Mirage’s NVH is just plain bad. I rode shotgun with the G4 in Saigon recently, and even at just ~50 km/h you could tell that it’s very unrefined in terms of road noise isolation.
Was expecting the AU Falcon but I saw this instead, looks pretty good.
God I miss that comment chain on r/ich_iel! Made my day for real, even though I don’t speak an inch of German.
Is there a Lemmy version of r/ich_iel? I need it for research purposes…
Nvm found it
Damn very good post OP. I didn’t expect these kinds of quality posts here, so early in the Lemmy life cycle!
I don’t even own a car to do oil change in the first place, lol.
Lol the Land Cruiser that you guys get is still smaller than the L300 international model, it’s based on the Lexus GX which is smaller than the current gen L300 Land Cruiser/Lexus GX.
Dead only in North America lol. I imagine it’ll continue to be sold in Japan just fine.
Well at least they aren’t as big as a F-150…yet, right? Personally I really don’t want to see these uh, things getting popular on the road lol.
In Australia it’s a popular pastime to hate on American-sized utes. You know, the F-150, Silverado etc.
Which I can understand (and guilty of, somewhat) really since they are very off-putting (in terms of dimension) on the road, and also ruins visibility for smaller cars.
Damn OP, that blue color complements your MGB really well.
And this is unrelated, but I’m very glad to see a MG that isn’t a disguised SAIC car lol. Where I live, I see Chinese SAIC-owned MGs all the time which gets stale pretty fast.
MG3 hate intensifies
Same, I use Windows and I’m not ashamed for it at all.
Since you’re getting downvoted for this I assume I will get the same treatment lol
