There are color photos out there, ain’t a hard thing to look up. Journalists were probably shooting in color even if they weren’t getting printed that way since the average person could have a color camera by that point in time.

And yet other pictures of famous people in these textbooks were/are in color. There is a visual discrepancy in presentation and it misleads the viewer (children in this case) in a way they may not even realize for years or decades after. Whether this particular discrepancy is purposeful or not it is problematic.
This is probably one of the most egregious reasons that civil rights photos are in black and white in the textbooks despite color cameras having been a well-established thing by then. To make it seem like it was long ago when it was/is still quite recent. RedliningYour textbooks are made in Texas and the publishers therefore use Texan standards nearly everywhere…Educational material should not be made in red states.
Does saying in 28 years make you feel better?
And he was a decade younger then. Past time for all the old farts to be put to pasture(good and bad) and let us other generations have a go at the wheel of power. This death grip they have thinking no one else can do it is going to literally kill us.
Not all snakes. Some snakes are just oviparous or just viviparous.
Hugging, yeah. My joints(knees, shoulders, back) are too fucked for what play wrestling is between guys, I forget that when I see my brother after a while but I get reminded right quick. No snuggling, but I’m also not usually on a couch when we hang, still probably not.
Honestly, doubt it is millions. Boeing has a big problem for the other reasons you mention but people like yourself actively avoiding their planes is going to be a minority. I’ve flown a few times since all the shit became public. All the planes were Boeing… full flights (and not super popular destinations). I’m thankful I want on a 787 or the new 757s I’ll agree with that.
Wasn’t an R shot at the congressional baseball game a few years ago. Didn’t seem to do shit.
The R^2 on top of the graph is 0.002 lol.
That is a dark purple shirt for the people who aren’t colorblind.
Trevor Noah was John Stewart’s idea lol. Overall I’d still say he was alright but his accent and Trump being president and Covid really didn’t help any. John Stewart has got some big shoes for anyone to try and fill especially after he’d been doing the show so long. I think a real problem is that Trevor often leaned too far into the fact that he is different, that he is South African not American. He often used that to make jokes that seemed to fall against the audience for no reason. As opposed to all the successful comedy talk shows where the audience is with the joke.
I’m in life sciences and AI was recently disallowed for grant writing or papers because of IP concerns. Additionally the chance of it hallucinating fake papers while unable to evaluate the real ones it trawls through make it difficult at professional level. ML is very helpful in certain design/prediction/ measurement areas but I’m not worried that these type of AI will steal a job. I am a bit worried that learning via these ai will cause issues though.
Boredom is an excuse, reality is no matter where or what you work as there will be boring things involved at some point to some degree. We are hundreds of years past when nobles would sponsor some eclectic dude to do weird science/art just to say they were that weirdos sponsor. You have to be able to work past boredom to function in society.
A “genius” who can’t even write a letter isn’t meaningful. How can they communicate their ideas and thoughts if they can’t write a letter? If Newton never published Principia would we know him? No, we’d have to wait for the guy who could talk and write.
Well it is an unpopular opinion I’ll give it that. From the wiki it seems more like a mental health thing. Going into wilderness without preparation and survival knowhow is as shown a good way to die miserably.
Fox is not a small-time, they have more primetime viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined. If people’s first exposure to a movement is something like that interview…Several other news outlets also rehosted clips and wrote stories about just how terrible it was. That creates a strong barrier to anyone labeled as being “with” that person to overcome in order to be taken seriously. Whereas if you discovered the community where there were memes/conversations around workers rights and how they’re getting fucked the perception is much different.
It also was directly against the wishes of a community vote and mod discussion of doing a fox interview. A very good way to tell supporters of a movement that a purported “leader” doesn’t actually care about what they’re saying. To say that it was minor damage really underplays how it affected perception and unity of the community.
Tinnitus is a constant whine. Other actual noise helps prevent having to constantly be thinking and feeling the whine because the “white noise” has your ear dealing with other things.
It isn’t the reason everyone listens to white noise but people with Tinnitus could help themselves go less crazy if they listen to white noise.
Things growing in the water would be an issue. And highly treated water will damage your skin. There’d also be a chance of drowning every night. You could mitigate with a dry suit but that kinda ruins the point.
