Battlestar Galactica will always be my comfort apocalypse.
Battlestar Galactica will always be my comfort apocalypse.
That sounds like exactly the app I’ve been looking for.
I imagine a lot of this could be explained by population growth, and physical and social mobility. There are flat out more people around so it’s easier to find a partner you don’t hate. There are also more people who are socially acceptable and accessible.
Also depends on our limits. $25,000 in liability will cost less than $250,000 in liability.
Beech-Nut baby food. They have a history of bad faith actions including multiple citations, years apart and after litigation no less, for “selling artificially flavored sugar water as apple juice.”
No need to “grind down” a tire. The differentials will balance out the difference in torque.
But also be aware balloons can range for 100’s of miles before they come down.
Speaking only for myself, I generally try to contextualize before I write someone off as a “piece of shit”
I imagine you could take any popular song from today and find fault in 50 years as cultural norms change.
Since you chose CDB, here is an interesting bit of trivia about that song in particular:
The song uses a clever play on words to promote Southern rock music. … The “it” that the South is going to do again, it is implied, is to produce additional popular rock groups.
Daniels factually bristled at more nefarious interpretations of what the “it” was. … Daniels told Billboard, “I’m damn proud of the South, but I sure as hell am not proud of the Ku Klux Klan. I wrote the song about the land I love and my brothers. It was not written to promote hate groups.”
Maybe use the songs as an opportunity for discussion … or save it for your kid-free time.
Ford sells electric crate motors now. It’s just a matter of finding a way to install a battery. I’ve thought about trying to electrify an old F150 for shiggles. Throwing 6" of battery/body lift under the bed seems like a not-totally stupid idea.
If you had the time and skill, you could buy a new drivetrain and swap it in. I’d wager a modern engine and transmission would be easier to swap into older engine bays since they’re so roomy.
I rebuilt an 86 Bronco. I could literally sit in the engine bay to do work on the motor.
“The group also excluded vehicles with pedestrian automatic emergency braking systems,” well fuck. Maybe there’s a reason this is a standard feature on most new vehicles.
“the auto industry is embracing bigger, more brutish designs for its SUVs and trucks, … and car buyers are increasingly buying into that marketing, snapping up these high-riding vehicles in record numbers.” It’s almost like there are no other options on the market as manufacturers chase fuel economy requirements.
You give me an update of a 90’s-00’s midsize truck like the Tacoma or Dakota and I’ll write a check so fast the paper rips.
Fair enough, good on you for avoiding a death hug scenario
Where can I find this bot?
Is that how Grimer are born, sealed dirty underwear?
Shitstain I choose you
Facebook is a subsidiary of Meta. Google is a subsidiary of Alphabet. Twitter had an edgy X logo slapped on top of the peeling paint. TheyAreNotTheSame.meme
Still better than 90% of folks.
Make sure you have a towel. I say this as a guy who dried off after showers with an old tshirt the first week after I moved because I am a great planner.
Extend that to other less glamorous essentials. Think about the mundane things you use daily that blend into the background.
Looks kinda like the OG tricorder Spock carried in TOS.

That depends, how far in the future, how big of an expense, how much interest can you earn, and what’s inflation looking like?
If it’s more than a couple thousand dollars more than a couple years out, you could possibly make useful money with a high interest bearing account provided inflation is expected to be less than about 2/3 of the interest rate of the account.
Time IS money.
