I live in Texas and completely disagree with your point there. Sure things have been gerrymandered to hell, but they’ve done so based on voting trends and not registered voters. We could easily flip even the most gerrymandered districts if people got out. Also don’t forget that the Governor and the President are decided by results that don’t care about Gerrymandered districts.
Texas also allows early voting, and all you need is your drivers license. Will it get 100% of people: no, but enough to make a difference. It feels like you’re falling into the same trap as the OP response here, that unless it’s 100% perfect it won’t make a difference.
I kept reading iPhone 4S over and over too and it wasn’t making sense.
Some people just like to watch the world burn. Had a friend that would park next to people out in BFE. I asked them “why” and he said “no real reason, I just like pissing them off”… not really friends with him anymore.
I irrationally hate the term “web3” (or maybe it’s rational). It feels like someone tried to force a paradigm rather than the natural evolution.
My new hotness has a 30-sec anti-slip feature!
I said what I said, little shit.
(The kid, not you)
I don’t really feel any remorse though. It didn’t do what I said. It gets the consequences.
Surprised they’re going for 1:1 and not 16:9. I know a lot of people who use tablets and devices in the kitchen and watch videos while cooking. Granted you can do it on a square but you’re gonna be letterboxed at a smaller resolution
You just proved what I was saying though. The thought doesn’t have to be binary. You have a multitude of choices. But the moment you make an action, that is binary. You either do that specific action or not.
That’s an interesting thought. Thinking doesn’t have to be binary, but ultimately an action is: you either do it or you don’t. There could be 5 possible actions (including inaction) but whichever one you choose is a binary action (you either do it, or you don’t)
So places not to be during the zombie apocalypse.
Averaging 10°F above normal here still. I’ll settle for even getting fall at this point.
Basically why it’s called MAD (mutually assured destruction). You’ll either get the first shot for free, or everyone kills everyone.
wtf are you on about? The Winter Solstice is very much a verifiable fact (it’s actually the 21st so I was a day off) and marks the start of Winter in the northern hemisphere. Christmas is usually (I say usually so you can’t be pedantic about the minority outliers) celebrated on December 25th. That’s still only a few days after the solstice like I was saying.
This comic is talking about the Christmas season, creeping into Halloween and fall festivities, which is very much true in the northern hemisphere. I see your on an NZ instance which, yes the seasons are flipped there, but don’t go getting butt hurt if you can’t read context clues from the comic just because it doesn’t line up with you.
Here’s the issue I have. The Winter solstice (Dec 22nd) marks the start of Winter. Christmas is 3 days later, yet people expect it to be in the middle of winter, so people keep trying to move the season up. Realistically they should be trying to celebrate it in late January rather than pushing it back into Autumn. But they had to go and steal Yule and then keep wanting more time.
That license was laughable and blatant
Yeah part of the problem was you had the VR-4 which all the car nuts understood, but then everyone bought the S or SE and they were everywhere, half because it was an affordable midlevel car, and half because they wanted a VR-4 and couldn’t afford it
They never died. Look at the M5 Touring, the E63 Estate and the RS6 Avant for starters.
Except Lemmy. I wish luck to anyone trying to get rid of their comments when they could have been federated to any number of known and unknown servers throughout pretty much any country in the world. The legal nightmares to get it enforced basically make it a non-starter.
