Really nice article, well worth reading! It’s just astonishing that projects like hers have difficulties finding funding. It seems like a great idea to closely scrutinize these large institutional landowners. For example, here in Sweden the Swedish protestant church is also a large landowner and I imagine that they don’t seek to use their land as a carbon sink.

This seems quite reasonable to me, and if you are doing the more risky activities, then presumably you’d get some insurance to take the edge off the rescue charges.
