It should be like one of those buttons you hit with a hammer at a fair. Higher up it goes, the more your vote counts!

“Right to work” as the name of an anti-labor policy sure has a dystopic newspeak feel.
Voting reform is absolutely the key… which is why neither entrenched party will do it, of course.
That’s the problem with this “both sides” take. Yes, there is no true leftist party in the US. They’re both corporatists. The Republicans are undeniably much worse, though. Anti-union, anti other labor rights, oppose every kind of social safety net, want to privatize (loot) and profit from public assets, are thoroughly in favor of racist classist policies of every type imaginable. Some democrats are too, but ALL republicans are like that.
I figured it was a conscious design decision. Maybe it just doesn’t work, idk. It’s kind of nice not seeing them though I am curious sometimes and will look on other instances.
Kbin doesn’t federate downvotes from other instances though, so you can only see the downvotes made through Kbin. I believe for Lemmy, the only way to see the identities of voters is through direct database access. Maybe some third party apps show that though?
Idk, doesn’t seem like there’s much to do on the moon. You can grab some rocks and bounce around.
People find such activities enjoyable, but ideas like that are not very creative or interesting.
I find even 500,000aire culture to be boring. WOW, you bought a truck, put on siding and went on a cruise. Spent $600 on drinks. Very exciting.
Is a tamale a calzone or sushi?
With a serving size of 20-30g and only 1 g carbs, unfortunately they’re not exploiting labeling. Cucumbers do not have significant carbohydrates, fat or protein and thus neither do pickled cucumbers. Maybe enough carbs to survive but not enough fat or protein, and so you’d end up with protein deficiency and whatever that condition is where people eating just rabbits starve from lack of fat. Probably also a horrific case of heartburn from such an acidic diet.
They do have a decent amount of some vitamins and minerals, and electrolytes such as potassium. It wouldn’t make up for the lack of protein and fat though.
Do you know if that’s a modern change or if it’s always been the case?
Doesn’t matter to me. I’m not wishing harm on anyone, whatever our problems are, assuming they leave me alone. Some people might be disgruntled if they were left in a bad position and then their ex does great. Others might think “hmm, we’d stayed together I could have benefited from a wealthy porn influencer lifestyle”. Personally I think if they can move on and be prosperous, great.
Similar to interoperability between Apple’s services and Windows. iCloud exists for Explorer, but it is not well written. And there’s no iMessage, which is super annoying.
As far as your issues with Linux, sure. Software doesn’t exist for everything there is on Windows or Mac. For certain purposes though, like development in general or just as a general purpose desktop, I far prefer Linux.
I’ve been to a couple places in Denver that do this and obviously it’s bullshit. Just raise the prices! Not 18%, though, they’re 5% and started when everyone felt bad for restaurant workers during Covid. At both of them they had a disclaimer “if you disagree with this charge, we will gladly remove it”… as if that’s a comfortable thing to do to save $4.
It’s also eating food in a social atmosphere without having to shop, prepare or cleanup.
That’s not the point though… it’s that everything is 18% more than advertised on the menu, regardless of whether the original price was high or fair.
Oh, I understand. I more meant a fashion adviser. It does seem intentional and considering the bubble that many powerful people in general live in, I doubt there are many who can say “look, mark, your hair looks really weird and you should do something else”. Maybe if he hired and image consultant they’d explain that he would be more popular if he looked less odd. But whatever, let the guy express himself I suppose.
California is full of … people.
